Case Study: UltraMATE. How 1 client improved inspection time by 50% and reporting time by more..Created by: John Duenzl

Issue: I send two technicians to site. One to inspect and one to hold the drawings and find the right location on top of recording the data. How can I reduce the time it takes to record the UT thickness readings and not have to re-enter the data in-to our reports

Solution: UltraMATE Prepare for you inspections in advance with the UltraMATE software. Input the job/ calibration/ component data to digitally recall the location and enter the new readings on the device.

Also compare previous thickness readings to make on site decisions as required.

UT Thickness - Simple readings from Spot or Linear readings

- Simplest, sequential numbers 1,2,3…9999

UT Thickness - Grid

- Letters or numbers to identify columns & rows

UT Thickness - Custom Point

- Name both Location & Points at each location

UT Thickness - Custom Linear

- Locations: Coil #- 4 Data points per location

UT Thickness - Custom Grid

- Choose the name for each of a number of separate grid locations.- In this example the current location is “North”

UT Thickness - Boiler File

- Rows are named with Alpha Text- At each elevation/Tube location: multiple readings- Readings are labelled either L,C,R,B

- Left, Centre, Right, Back

UT Thickness - Custom 3D & 4D

For use in designing a survey - Example: Wall

- Total of 6 (Top, Bottom, North, South, East, West)- Second level : the elevation on each wall- Third level: section at each level- Fourth level: test point at each section

UT Thickness - Custom 3D & 4D

For use in designing a survey - Example: Wall

- Total of 6 (Top, Bottom, North, South, East, West)- Second level : the elevation on each wall- Third level: section at each level- Fourth level: test point at each section

UT Thickness data available from a DMS GO+ (USM GO+)Want to learn more?
