before we get started

you are a brand

even when it’s business, it’s personal

keep it real

it’s not optional

twitter

twitter has its origins in sms; it has become the citizen band radio of the internet.

twitter is simple: 140 characters, @replies, retweeting and direct messages.

should you have a business or personal twitter account? the answer is both.

twitter is about sharing and helping; find your flock.

as a business on twitter consider scheduling, using tools and be responsive.

linkedin

linkedin is a network for professionals.

linkedin is great for finding leads, hunting for a job and improving your seo.

linkedin has the lowest barrier to entry and is the easiest to maintain.

join groups, ask for recommendations and get introductions to find your crowd on linkedin.

the hardest part of linkedin is completing your profile; it’s also the most effective thing to do.

update linkedin weekly and grow your connections slowly.

you don’t need a paid account to use linkedin well.
