segment. Tugella is Geely’s first model based on the highly advanced CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) jointly developed

by Geely Auto and Volvo Cars at the China Euro Vehicle Technology Centre in Gothenburg, Sweden.

WHAT IS CMA?

CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) was jointly developed by Volvo Cars and Geely Auto at

CEVT (China Euro Vehicle Technology) in Gothenburg.

CMA seeks to forge high-end, high-value and high-performance products that are safe,

mobile, intelligent and well-designed. Boasting a new generation of skillfully-crafted vehicle

models with broadened appeals in multiple dimensions, it is poised to support Geely in

designing and manufacturing top-ranking cars and becoming one of the most competitive

automakers in the world.

Safety

CMA also defines new global standards through leading technology and globalized verification. CMA has

released around 1,000 sample vehicles for testing, test mileage exceeds 3.8 million kilometers. Up to 9 types of

vehicle tests has been conducted with TUGELLA, covering 57 test environments, and the reliability veri�cation

results of each part have all exceeded the Auto industry levels

Quality

Tugella’s performance comes courtesy of the powerful and efficient 2.0-litre

turbocharged four-cylinder direct-injection engine providing a power output of

238hp and torque of 350nm. This is mated to the smooth Aisin 8-speed automatic

transmission, and BorgWarner’s fifth-generation 4WD system which distributes

power evenly between the front and rear axles for superior road handling.

This sophisticated combination of powertrain and chassis technology enables the

Tugella to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 6.9 seconds for a thrilling driving

experience.
