Program Manager leading an effort to ensure the client's Brokerage, Advisory and Wealth Management divisions comply with a recent Department of Labor ruling. The ruling expands the definition of what constitutes "investment advice" and addresses potential conflicts of interest by financial fiduciaries. Role consists of driving Solution Delivery Planning across the client’s Brokerage, Advisory, Retirement Plans, Annuities and Life Employee Benefits products. Identifying impacts and solutions to product design, planning and sales operations and compliance functions.

Johnson Controls International 4/2015 – 2/2016

Successfully delivered as Global Conversion and Cutover Manager to complete a joint venture / divestiture of Automotive Interiors division. RSM McGladrey, Inc. 9/2005 – 3/2008

As Program Manager, successfully completed the integration activities resulting from the acquisition of a public accounting firm. The project covered integration of internal business systems, audit and tax technologies, communications networks and physical locations. The resulting company has over 9,000 professionals.

As Sr. Project Manager, successfully led the transition of the methodology and tools used by over 4,000 audit professionals in the firm. The migration included automation of risk-based audit planning steps, and movement of the technology platform from Lotus Notes to a Web-based enterprise platform that integrates with Caseware Working Papers. We were the Beta client with Caseware as they enhanced the architecture of their product to match Lotus Notes replication capabilities.

US Bancorp 6/2004 – 9/2005Development ManagerResponsible for a team implementing and supporting applications used by the US Bancorp’s Mutual Fund Services Division. Business areas supported included Fund Accounting, Fund Administration and Transfer Agency. US Bank provides these services as a third-party to approximately 150 mutual fund family clients. Applications are distributed across multiple platforms and technologies.

Bank of New York Clearing Services 10/2000 – 3/2003

As Program Manager, successfully led completion of the acquisition and conversion of a correspondent-clearing firm. The client acquired a clearing firm servicing approximately 80 broker / dealer correspondent customers representing over 100 office locations. The project required back-end systems conversions, migration of the correspondent network and infrastructure, and integration of front-end Web based and client/server applications into the client’s technology environment. The project required coordination across four corporations. Responsibilities included establishing and implementing the overall project management methodology and ongoing project execution. Reported to the Executive Steering Committee chaired by the CEO and made up of the top-level executives from the five corporations involved.

Completed a systems consolidation effort involving evaluation of various trading and order management platforms. Project resulted in the elimination of an internally supported system at a significant annual cost savings to the client.

Directed a coordinated Business Continuity Planning project including Business Impact Analysis, Business Facilities analysis and Data Center co-location. Managed internal teams and vendor relationships to develop a combined strategy and plan for a client in the securities industry

As Engagement Manager, completed a technology infrastructure and business application development project for a heath care group purchasing organization. Responsible for overall budget of approximately $3 million reporting directly to the client’s Executive Steering Committee. Milwaukee Public Schools

Performed Management Quality Assurance over a PeopleSoft HR / Payroll / Benefits Administration implementation for this large government organization with over 18,000 employees. The project had an overall budget of approximately $8.5 million. Participated on the client’s Policy Committee to review and make recommendations related to major project deliverables and decisions.

Northwestern Mutual

Performed as Lead Architect to complete the design of an enterprise client information solution. Key aspects of the design centered on the “two-phase commit” requirements of multi-platform business update transactions.

Schwaab Stamp

As Consultant, completed an overall systems and technology assessment. Delivered presentations to executives describing the current environment, key issues and business requirements, with recommendations for both short and longer-term technology initiatives. The recommendations led to the selection and implementation of a new technology infrastructure and the purchase of an ERP application suite.

The Berrington Group

As Project Manager, completed a package selection project for this third-party administrator of flexible benefits plans. Led the RFI / RFP process to identify vendor short-list. Directed consultants and client staff through the vendor solicitation, package evaluation and selection, and final procurement. The platform and software was chosen to replace the core applications used to administer flexible benefit plans on behalf of their clients. DDN Pharmaceutical Logistics 3/1996 – 7/1997

Director of Information Systems

As Director, drove technology-related initiatives for a provider of third-party distribution services to the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. In-house systems provided order processing, inventory control, warehouse management, and distribution processing. Data synchronization with manufacturer’s systems was supported through Electronic Data Interchange.

Led the implementation and support of a Wide Area Network spanning three locations including the implementation of office productivity software and electronic mail across the company.

Completed the initial development phases of a Financial Banker Insight product, a universal desktop for financial institution customer service call centers and branch sales automation.

Led the design, development, implementation and support of a Message Broker product. The software acted as an object request broker for integrating business applications with multiple platforms based on “message oriented middleware” architecture.

Completed the definition, design, development, implementation, and support of an Inquiry Generator product that enabled end-user development of custom screens without programming intervention.

Directed the definition, design and development of a Relationship Packaging System. The product was developed to enable banks to dynamically configure and maintain pricing based upon a customer’s total account relationship with the institution.

Led the development, implementation, and support of a Credit Collections System. The product was targeted at high-volume collections call center operations, and included interfaces to telephony products for automated outbound call management.
