The share of the European e-Commerce in the EU’s GDP estimated at 3.5%

a percentage that is set to double by 2016 and to triple by 2020

The number of jobs created directly and indirectly by the B2C e-Commerce sector

estimated at 2 million; the number of B2C websites have grown to 550,000 at the

end of 2012, growing at a pace of 15-20% per year

The annual number of B2C parcels sent to customers domestically or across border

to other (European) countries is estimated at 3.5 billion

February 2013: PostEurop Members responded unanimously to the EC with a

position paper

September 2013: PostEurop CEO Forum

– the industry commitment presented to Commissioner Barnier by more than 40

top executives

- he welcomed the initiative and made a commitment for no further legislation in

so far the industry delivers its commitments

December 2013: the EC issued a “Roadmap for

completing the Single Market for parcel
