Reasons to give to the Library Foundation of Cincinnati and Hamilton County

There are so many good reasons to give to the Library Foundation and just as many different ways to contribute.

Your donation has the power to make a real difference in our world.

Donations make sure children have the chance to attend free summer Brain Camps

Donations mean everyone is invited to earn prizes as part of Summer Reading.

Donations expanded the Homework Help program. Now we can offer after-school assistance to students at the Main Library and 16 branch libraries.

Donations help get books to educators, the elderly, and children with special needs.

Donations provide scholarships for adults to get a high school degree and career certification.

Donations fund programs at all branch libraries, including programs for teens and adults.

Donations help the Library buy high-tech equipment for the MakerSpaces at the Reading and St. Bernard branch libraries and the Main Library.

Donations help preserve historic artifacts, such as the Library’s rare copy of Audubon’s Birds of America.

You can help support the Library, no matter your income.

Ways you can give back include …

Enroll your Kroger Plus Card in the Kroger Community Rewards Program and Kroger will pay the Foundation every time you shop.

Honor someone who has made a difference in your life. The Library will attach a personalized bookplate to any items purchased with your donation.

Honor a beloved pet. We’ll use your gift to buy material about pets, pet care, or children’s books.

Befriend or “adopt” your neighborhood branch library with a gift to fund programs and services.

Becoming a member of the Torch Society with a planned gift. There are three ways to do this.

1. Designate the Foundation as a beneficiary of a gift or part of your estate in your will.

2. Include the Foundation as a beneficiary of your life insurance or retirement plan

3. Participate in the Foundation’s Charitable Gift Annuity program.

Other ways to give back …

Make a gift of appreciated property with stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, art, collectibles, and patents and copyrights.

Naming opportunities allow you to support the Library in a meaningful way and receive lasting recognition for you, a loved one, or your organization.

Donors may name endowments for programs, technology enhancement, collection development, and physical spaces at the Main Library and branch libraries.

All donations, large and small, to the Foundation are tax-deductible.

Donate online via PayPal or by email.
