3 events that I think are extremely significant in shaping the web and Internet as we know it today.

A bit of background

The internet is ~60 years old.

Sends packets over a network.

The first true network email was sent in 1971 by a chap called Ray Tomlinson, over the ARPA network.

1. The First EmailTo test it out, Tomlinson sent several quick messages from one machine to another directly beside it.

The messages were successfully sent via theprotocol.

Berners-Lee originally created the WWW so that researchers at CERN could share information much easier than previously possible.
