The Friday Flash October 13, 2017
Photo of the Week: The Early Childhood students took a field trip to Smithhome Farm Pumpkin Patch and had a wonderful time! Students enjoyed a hayride and picked out a pumpkin to bring back to the classroom to decorate. Head’s Highlights:
The Cornell Sun Times featured Ryan and Connor Bayne, CVMS alumni on
October 11, 2107, for their outstanding contributions to upping Cornell’s
national soccer status. It’s a great story and it emphasizes how hard work and
dedication make all the difference between an exceptional performance
rather than just an adequate one.

Make sure you mark your calendars for all the upcoming events on campus (Outdoor Clean-Up day, Open
House, Halloween and Parent Ed at Tanglewood!). We have so much going on and we are looking forward
to having you join us for all of it! ~Marcy

Contributions to CVMS help support our school and our continuing efforts to provide a quality education in a great environment of children and educators working together to achieve a great future. Thank for considering CVMS in your pledging. Join us for the CVMS Outdoor Cleanup Please join us to care for our outdoor environment on Saturday, October 28 from 9:00am-noon. I wanted to make you aware of two parent education opportunities in November. It’s not too late to join the book group reading Brainstorm: The Power and Purpose of the Teenage Brain. Their next meeting is Monday, November 6 at 6:30 p.m. at
the Middle School. Childcare is at the Middle School also. And mark your calendars for our popular Movie Night at Tanglewood on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 6:00 p.m. (an earlier start time than most parent ed events). This year’s film is Montessori: The Science Behind the
Genius. There are children’s activities for CVMS students aged 2 and older and a night hike for the whole family. Details for both events are in the flyers at the end of the Flash. Please remember to register to attend and request childcare, so that we can provide an adequate number of staff to safely supervise your children! ~ Sheila Book Group: https://goo.gl/forms/8mOCIvDoOBq1XJz82
