The purpose of this festival is to entertain people from all types of different backgrounds. As well as that it is also held to show different types of talents from all over the world.

Every August (approximatly from 12th to 4th Sep), the Edinburgh International Festival transforms one of the world's most beautiful cities, presenting three weeks of the finest creators and performers from the worlds of the arts.

Edinburgh's six major theatres and concert halls, a few smaller venues and often some unconventional ones too, come alive with the best classical music, theatre, opera, dance and visual art from around the globe.

Target AudienceTarget Audience

They tend to target at young people in London, however the numbers do show that their most popular audience are adults ranging from between 20-45.

FundingFunding

The Edinburgh International Festival has three main sources of income: ticket sales, fundraising from sponsorship, donations and project grants, and core public sector investment primarily from The City of Edinburgh Council and the Creative Scotland. The Festival, which is a registered charity (a not-for-profit organisation), aims to cover its costs each year.
