• Based on the best of three opportunities on one test (HSA)

• Are the DOE’s accountability measures

• Does not provide a complete picture of the whole child

Other criteria to determine “recognition”

A. High Performance

• Meets or exceeds targets for all subgroups ie. Non-high needs (HES 96%) and high needs (HES 60%).

• Gap rate of less than 30% (HES 36%, ie did not earn points).

B. High Progress

• Increase of 15% of all students proficient over 3 yrs., 2010-13 (HES ?%)

• Gap reduction of 10% or greater over 3 yrs. (HES 12%, ie earned points)
