FunctionThe DALI Ambient Sensor measures illuminance andCorrelated Colour Temperature (CCT) properties withinitsscanningarea–illuminanceinluxandCCTinKelvins.Measurement occurs automatically using automaticrange switching within an illuminance range of 100-30,000 lx and CCT range of 2500-8000 K. The sensorcommunicatesusingtheindustrystandardDALIprotocolonce addressed and set using any standard DALIconfigurationtool.AdditionalsensorparameterscanbesetusingaUSB/DALIbridgeandrelatedsoftwaretool.
By default, the sensor functions in passive mode withregulationdisabledandwheremeasuredvaluescanonlyberead.Thebasicparametersrequiredforregulationaredesired illuminance and CCT values and connection totype-definedandcontrollableTunableWhiteluminaires.The sensor can be used to regulate warm/cold two-channel luminaires, brightness/ CCT two-channelluminaires and DALI type 8 luminaires. It is possible toassigneachchannelitsownaddress,forexample,acoldchannel,warmchannel,brightnesschannel,CCTchannelor DALI type 8 channel.
