Next Steps in MRO Contract

• We have Bid Electrical and Safety Supply lots in August to gain more verifiable pricing with price lists. New lots will be added to the contract in October 2006.

• Plan is to renew remainder of MRO through 11/13/2007(Service, Delivery and Pricing on these lots are satisfactory)

• NOTE: This contract is for MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operating) supplies, large construction purchases should be bid.

• Can Liners, Plastic, Disposable (Planned bid launch date is end of October)

• Contract expires 12/31/06

• Contract includes various sizes, thicknesses, configurations and materials

• There are 3 suppliers (Calico, Central Poly & All American Poly)

• Annual spend is $750K

• Annual savings is $290K

• Any input you have to offer for the solicitation from your agency is appreciated

• Five-year contract awarded on 10/20/2004

• Two Suppliers: VF Imageware (DEP L.E.) and Superior Uniform Group (others)

• Outside audit identified $1.5mm savings (40% off MSRP) from current State Agency spend. Additional savings opportunities for OEU customers (minimum of 35% savings off MSRP)

• Three-year contract awarded on 12/23/2004

• Strategically Sourced Using MyFloridaMarketPlace eProcurement System

• Will be combined and rebid when Ammunition STC expires in October, 2007

• Mostly badges, insignia, OC and leather goods

Drug Screening Test Kits

• Three-year contract awarded on 3/12/2004

• Overall MSRP discount is 54%. High-spend, single panel products at 79% discount

• MMCAP multi-state contract averages $1.50 per single-panel test. Florida State Term Contract price is $0.56 or $0.58 for most tests

• Current contract expires in January, 2007. SP strategy is to renew through 1/31/2010

Ammunition, Targets, & Handcuffs

• ITB issued 9/1/06 – Bids Due 9/21/06

• 12 month contract with three, one year renewal options

• Renewal strategy depends on commodity prices in Summer ’07. Lower prices will result in new ITB, ITN, Reverse Auction or renewal with PPI-based cost reduction. Higher prices lock-in 2006 prices plus PPI adjustment.
