Detailed Descript ion
Main Floor
Formal Entry (17 x 12 x 20) – Stunning foyer entered through a solid 8’
solid core stained oak door with an upper 20 divided light paned window of the half
French door. The foyer’s natural illumination is complimented by the two side light
windows on either side of the front door and the three upper windows to form an half
moon that are accented by turned brick detailing and soldering of the exterior covered
French Country wrap around porch. The front door additionally has antiqued brass
hardware. The two story foyer has beautiful solid oak floor with a medium stain in
random lengths. The focal point of this marvelous foyer is the bridal circular staircase
with a solid oak stained first step with double volutes that continue up the staircase with
the stained balustrades and hand turned railing. The balusters are wrought iron with
curved basket detailing. The winding staircase has neutral plush sculpted carpeting with
painted edges of the steps for the dual balusters and balustrades. Complimenting the
staircase are tall 8” flat painted baseboards with applied molding. The walls are textured
with a custom applied designer coating. Above the foyer through the towering ceiling is
a heavy bronze elegantly styled carved chandelier with numerous lights through the large
multileveled fixture with alabaster styled shades. Just to the left of the staircase across
from the front door, is a strategically positioned focal point for an out-cove of a
semicircular design with applied molding for home accents, a statue or bust or some other
architectural detail to be presented when you enter this French Country Estate. To the
immediate right of the entry is the formal living room/family room, and to the left of the
foyer, is the study through double French Doors. Between the Study and the niche’, is
the first arched hallway to the left that leads to the Utility/Mud Room and garages, while
between the staircase and the decorative niche’ is the arched long center hall that leads to
the powder bath, kitchen, guest suite and master suite.
Formal Dining/ Library/ Study (16 x14 x 10) – The room is an
amazing place for your formal dining, library, home office or small den with an amazing
wall of custom built solid oak stained shelves, drawers and cabinets. This rich room has
warm solid hardwood floors with a medium brown stain with dark textured papered walls
with thick painted crown molding. There is a bay of four windows with 2” stained wood
blinds. The doors are dual French individual paned doors with brushed nickel French
levers. Through the French Doors is a spectacular view of the foyer’s circular staircase.
Along with the thick stacked crown molding adorning the ceiling, is an antiqued copper
styled ceiling fan with 5 stained blades with an opaque swirled alabaster styled
schoolhouse globe.
Kitchen (18 x15 x 20) – The light French inspired gourmet kitchen with a 20
foot ceiling with 3 dormer skylight windows illuminating this wonderful kitchen is a
cook’s dream. The flooring is a mixture of cobblestone styled neutral colored tiles of
varying lengths. This opulent kitchen can be accessed through multiple rooms including
the media room, formal living room/family room, four seasons (screened room), center
hallway, and the shared space of the kitchen with the breakfast room and butlers pantry
built-in. This large kitchen has both over and under mount lighting with two single
pediment lights with a dual light matching fixture with matching opaque glass shades
hanging over the very large corian island with raised bar seating for 2-3 full size bar
stools. Within the island, is the Whirlpool Accubake system including a KitchenAid
warming drawer for full size dishes. All the counter tops are a pebbled taupe style corian
that compliments the entire color scheme of the kitchen. There are 11 upper painted
cabinets with two glass hutch cabinets for displaying certain pieces within the kitchen.
The gourmet appliances include a 6 burner Thermador flat cooktop/hot surface; a
Whirlpool Accubake System, self cleaning oven; KitchenAid raised dishwasher with an
all stainless steel interior; a Kohler l n cast iron Brookside sink with hidden over the sink
florescent lighting within the cornice. The sink has wide set oiled bronze high arc
country design faucet with a separate sprayer. Over the sink are two windows that look
out into the “four seasons” room with complete views of the swimming pool and the
expansive wooded lot behind the home. The back splash is a light tumble
travertine/marble natural stone. The furniture style painted cabinetry with hand-turned
rope patterned trim with hand-turned balusters carved within the detailed solid wood
trim. The backsplash behind the glass cook top is a detailed brick herringbone pattern
with exquisite millwork including a grand mantle above the cook top with two masonry
columns with applied plaques with stacked capitals with a large barrel style arch with
beautifully painted molding. Under the huge circular staircase, houses the enormous
pantry.
Breakfast Area – This is a wonderful eating area like a bistro from the French
Quarter. A tall 20’ brick wall with dark antiqued copper carriage lights with flicker light
bulbs for the warm lighting of a French Café separates the downstairs media room from
the kitchen area. There is a dark awning trimmed with white piping that is above the
entrance of the media room from the kitchen with the “DT” in gold monogramming for
the stately DonTessa Estate. The breakfast room is open to the Kitchen and corian
breakfast bar off the island. There are entrances from the Breakfast Room to the Media
Room, Formal/Family Room, Kitchen and the Four Seasons Room. The flooring is the
continuous mixture of cobblestone styled neutral colored tiles of varying lengths. One of
the dormer skylights illuminates the Breakfast Area as well. There is a triple light fixture
hanging from the ceiling for table illumination which is the exact same pattern as the
wrought iron fixtures and pediment lights found in the rest of the kitchen. There is also a
large window that views the Four Seasons room as well as the pool and back area of the
estate. Along the wall between the Family Room and Breakfast Area is a built-in
furniture style butler’s pantry or buffet. The cabinetry is painted an antiqued white with
ball and claw feet. The two upper cabinets have six paned divided glass doors with
custom pewter knobs in the shape of roosters. The counter top is a darker speckled
corian with the lower cabinet dual drawers have an antiqued crackling ceramic on pewter
drawer knobs. There are an additional two lower cabinets with-in the butler’s pantry
alcove.
Four Seasons Room (16 x 14 x 10) – The Four Seasons Room is
completely enclosed from the outdoor elements by six screen window panels. This Room
has a engineered hardwood like floor with two copper ceiling fans that are mounted to the
painted ceiling. There is an additional screen door with a screen transom that leads
down the massive stone steps to the wrought iron fenced in pool court. There are
additional entrances to the Four Seasons Room from the single French door to the
Kitchen/Breakfast area, Dutch styled door to the Guest Suite Pool Bath, and the dual
French doors to the Exercise Room.
Formal Living/Family Room (22 x 20 x 10) – Entering the formal
living room or family room from the right of the foyer through a large painted archway,
you continue on the solid hardwood flooring into this warm and spacious room. On the
front elevation of this room to the outside is a bank of nine tall rectangular windows that
curve with the wrap around porch along two sides of the living room. The first three
windows in a row share a common painted molded sill as well as the next six windows
sharing a common custom sill. Next is a large inset custom built-in entertainment system
with pocket doors. The beautifully stained cabinet/armoire is big enough for a large
flatscreen TV. There are interior shelves for satellite and DVD equipment. There are an
additional four upper cabinets with doors and four lower taller cabinets with doors.
Above the entertainment center there is also a plant ledge. Next to the entertainment
center is a large raised natural stone hearth with the beautiful hand picked stones covering
the entire hearth wall from floor to the ceiling’s stacked painted crown molding. The
arched firebox has a propane ignition with the 500 gallon propane tank located on the
estate. The mantel is a beautiful stained oak with heavy applied molding with a turned
rope patterned located along the mantel. Just past the fireplace, is the entrance into the
breakfast area of the kitchen and the entrance door into the media room. Along the left
side of this room the wall is also curved following the flow of the adjacent circular
staircase along the adjoining wall of the foyer. At the rise of the 4th – 7th steps of the
staircase in the foyer, the wall open up to a transom window between the foyer and this
living space to incorporate the beautiful staircase as part of this room. The painted base
molding of these four steps, the twisted wrought iron balusters with twisted baskets and
the hand turned stained railing travel between the foyer and family room. I just love this
detail aesthetically and functionality for a family trying to keep tabs on little ones
throughout such a large home. The coordinating floor and ceiling stacked crown
moldings as well as the sills are all painted white along with the ceiling. The walls are a
warmer painted hue within the daffodil family. Additionally there is stained 5-blade
ceiling antiqued brass fan with four dark tulip styled medium frosted alabaster styled
shades complimenting the inset can lights located throughout the room.
Master Suite (31 x 17 x10) – Through the center painted archway down the
longest hall from the foyer, leads you to the Master Suite Retreat. You enter this amazing
space through an 8’ painted six-panel door crossing the threshold of the wood flooring to
the soft designer plush carpeting of the Master bedroom. This large room has painted
walls within the lighter yellow hues, painted tall flat floor molded baseboards, and
beautiful double stacked crown molding with a white ceiling. The room has two
windows on either side of the long wall across from the entrance to the master suite with
the master bathroom entrance to the left and the entrance to the sitting area to the right.
The bedroom has a designer ceiling fan with five light colored blades with four glass
shaded lights. From the bedroom to the right, you enter a wonderfully large sitting area
that is large enough for a full size living room couch or dual recliners. The entrance to
the sitting room is through a Federal Style heavily molded archway with fluted columns
accented with applied rosettes before the stacked crown cornices with stacked trimmed
bases, applied plaques, and other applied decorative millwork. The room has a curved
bay of four tall windows with exquisite views of the woods behind the home. From the
white painted vaulted ceiling, is a large hanging pediment style single fixture with French
styled “J” curves with a sculpted half dome alabaster style shade.
Master Bathroom (15 x 13 x 10) – To the left of the Master Bedroom is a
six paneled pocket door to the master bathroom. The bathroom is a richly painted red
with hand stenciling designs just below the white painted crown molding. The flooring is
light neutral colored 12” tiles hand laid on the diagonal. The furniture style raised panel
cabinetry is a painted antiqued white with ball and claw feet. The large mirrors over his
and hers separate vanities are framed with coordinating molding with applied plaques on
both sides of each mirror with a thick stacked cornice of crown moldings. The bronze
dual light fixture for his vanity is actually mounted into the glass of the mirror above the
cultured marble rust on white veined sink and countertop. The faucet is a wide set brass
with French levered faucet set. There are four lower cabinets with two upper drawers.
Between the two perpendicular vanities is the entrance to the Master Closet through
double mirrored sliding glass doors. Her vanity also has four lower cabinets and a single
drawer before the counter top drops down to a seated level lower vanity with a large
drawer. The above mirror is quite a bit larger than the “his” vanity mirror, and has two
single copper styled mounted lamps within the mirror with one light directly above the
lower “make-up” area vanity. The master garden spa tub is located in the corner of the
bathroom with coordinating floor tile surrounding the exterior and backsplash. There are
two frosted glass windows above the tub. The wall along the tub also had built-in shelves
framed in millwork. The shower stall is next to the spa tub with ceramic tiles walls and
flooring with a glass door. Within shower in an octagon shaped leaded rippled glass
custom made window with a scrolling design.
Master Closet – This is a large carpeted closet that is angular shaped with lots of
room for season hanging and space for changing your clothes and storage within this
large space. Additionally, the closet is entered through two mirrored sliding glass doors
from the master bathroom, so you always have a full view of your wardrobe once you are
ready to proceed out for the day.
Guest Suite (14 x 12 x 10) – Down the center arched hallway from the foyer
past the kitchen, you will arrive to the guest suite on you right before arriving at the
Master Suite. The Guest Suite has neutral colored plush carpeting with a daffodil hue of
painted walls with a white painted ceiling with a stained five-blade antiqued brass ceiling
fan with four lights with scalloped glass shades. There is a window with white 2” wood
blinds that has a view out to the four season’s room. There are dual 3 raised panel pocket
that lead from the Guest Bedroom into the Guest Dressing Area/Guest/Pool bathroom.
Within the bedroom there is a 6 panel door that leads the Guest Bedroom’s large closet
with three separate rows of hanging with plenty of room for storage.
Guest Bathroom (12 x 10 x 10) – Entered from either the Guest Suite or the
Four Seasons Screened Room into the Guest Bath Room. The bathroom has an earthy
tone 12” tile with dark grout that has been hand laid on the diagonal with lighter border
tiles surrounding the floor. When you enter the bathroom from the bedroom through the
double pocket doors, you are facing two large windows that face the back woods of the
estate. The windows have two sets of 2” painted wood blinds. To the right, is a French
door that leads to the Four Seasons Room and out to the swimming pool. Next to the
door is the vanity with four lower raised cabinet doors and two upper drawers that are
painted in an antiqued white finish. The cabinets all have pewter knobs and drawer
pulls. The cultured marble white counter top with rust veining and sink has pewter
fixtures with a wide set gooseneck faucet and French levered handles. There is a heavy
framed mirror with a silver finishing over the vanity. Over the mirror is a triple light
fixture with marbleized alabaster style glass frosted shades. Next to the vanity is the four-
door raised paneled linen cabinet with pewter knobs and a plant ledge on top. To the left
of the window is the shower stall of a rust earthy colored tile that complements the floor
tiling. The shower is completely enclosed with a single tempered glass door.
Media Room (25 x 14 x 10) – A superb high tech media room in the most
ideal location of any home designed today. The media room is actually located where
you will use it within steps of all other family locations of this well planned and designed
home. The entrance to the media room is through a brick wall with a quaint awning from
the Kitchen/Breakfast Area at the Living/Family Room entrance that has extra
acoustically and sound proofing concealed within the walls of the media room. The
media room has platform flooring with neutral light brown berber carpeting, so that the
rear bank of recliners is a foot higher than the front row recliners. There is rope floor
lighting around the platforms as well that won’t interfere with movie viewing, but allows
you to see the steps. The Media Room also has a full wetbar with upper and lower
crackled weathered-painted cabinets with a corian countertop and under-mount sink with
a center-set gooseneck faucet. There is a built-in ice-maker. The room is a painted a rich
deep blue with white applied fluted molding and heavily trimmed cornices and columns.
On either side of the large projection screen are two painted built-in cabinets with doors
to conceal all electronics, movies, music, etc… Additionally underneath the mounted
screen are four painted blue crackled cabinets, two-drawers and one-drawer size shelf.
There are wall mounted lights with-in each decorative plaque on both sides of the seating
area with automatic dimmer switches with additional full can lighting in the ceiling for
times when you actually need light to illuminate the entire space. The projection system
is included with surround sound mounted speakers throughout the room and the projector
mounted to the ceiling. This room is beautifully finished out with loads of applied
molding, trim and millwork.
Home Office or Exercise Room (17 x 10 x 10) – This fully air-
conditioned room is an ideal space for indoor fitness. It is entered through double French
Doors from the Four Seasons Room. Engineered hardwood like plank floors with painted
walls. There are lots of windows to view the rear of the estate an additional copper
Hampton Bay ceiling fan with 5-stained blades and a frosted school house globe to keep
the air cool and circulating during a good work-out. The room continues with the yellow
hue painted walls with a white painted ceiling. There is additional 2nd floor attic access
through this room through a pull down staircase.
Mud Room/Utility Room (13 x 10 x 10) – The Mud Room has a large
stainless utility sink with a soap dispenser and a pullout chrome sprayer faucet. There are
11 upper painted cabinets with 6 lower cabinets. There is room for an additional full size
side-by-side refrigerator with water and ice in the door. There are built-in shelves with a
hanging bar. The flooring consists of an earth tone 12” ceramic tile with dark grout. The
walls are painted yellow with a white ceiling. There are two ceiling florescent lights and
a small window to view the north driveway and woods.
Powder Half Bathroom (10 x 7 x 10) – Just off the foyer to the center
arched hallway to the left is the powder bath. This is an ideal location just steps from the
kitchen. The powder bath is a long “L” shaped room with the toilet hidden behind a wall
of built-in cubbies. The walls are covered in a textured designer style wall paper in
medium tones with a Corian speckled vanity top with an under mount porcelain sink with
wide set high arc faucet and French levered handles that are finished with an oiled bronze
finish. The furniture style cabinet is a stained oak with ball and claw feet that rests on the
beautiful hardwood flooring.
3 Car Garage (32 x 21 x 10) – The garage has three single garage doors with
three separate overhead door garage door electronic openers for the three single bay
doors with concrete flooring. There are multiple windows in the garage on the north and
west sides of the house for lots of natural lighting within the garage. There are also
multiple florescent lights mounted to the ceiling throughout the garage space. The garage
also has a pull-down attic staircase access to the second floor attic that is also accessed
from the gameroom’s attic bonus space.
Basement / Garden Tractor-Work Room (30 x 24 x 7) – I wish
every home on acreage in Lucas and Fairview had this space! As you roll down the
estate to White Rock Creek, it only makes sense to have a basement with exterior double
doors for your garden tractor and all your tools. This huge space has concrete floors, full
florescent lighting, and lots of crawl spaces that aren’t even included in the
measurements. The measurements are only for standing room, if you have to bend or
stoop in any area of the basement, the measurements don’t include it. This space is ideal
for any form of shop or landscaping equipment and tools. It is located just a few stone
steps down from the three car garage and driveway, that you could also include all your
automotive needs within the basement, but you could not drive a full size vehicle in here.
Through the double doors of the basement, you could fit riding lawn mowers and garden
tractors, motor cycles, golf carts, gators vehicles with trailers, actually you could fit flat
trailers in here too, but nothing too tall like a horse trailer. You could also include all
your water sports equipment from a Sea-Doo with a trailer, skis, tubes, wakeboards
etc…since you are only a few thousand feet from the Highland Park boat ramp at Lake
Lavon. You could additionally fit row boats, kayaks and canoes into this space and the
rafters are open above the 7’ ceiling height for flat storage too.
Staircase – As you enter the DonTessa, your eyes are immediately drawn to the
beautiful curved bridal staircase. With double volutes and a solid oak primary step, you
whined up the neutral carpeted steps with white painted wooden base treads and risers
with wrought iron twisted balusters with every other baluster containing a single twisted
basket. There are additional stained newels supporting the beautifully hand turned
stained hand railing all the way to the second floor. As you ascend up the stairs, the first
three steps are within the foyer, then the 4th -7th steps are actually shared into the family
room through a shared open transom. As the stairs continue to climb the curve your eyes
will be drawn to large ledge with heavy millwork and trim with white paint that is an
easy to access alcove. This wise use of space, allows you to decorate at the second floor
level without have to use any ladders or other things to access this space. At the top of the
stairs you reach the second floor game room.
Second Floor
Gameroom (25 x 17 x 9) – The top of the second floor stair case opens into
the gameroom. This room has neutral colored plush carpeting, yellow hue walls, and
light painted crown molding, base boards, ceiling and trim. There is a triple bank of
windows across the room that looks over the front of the estate that are covered by 2”
stained wood blinds. The windows are all topped with three transom widows creating an
arch with the center window topped with a small painted cornice. There is also an open
transom/loft window that views down the staircase which is a very dramatic vantage
point to view the staircase. There is an additional open transom/loft window into the two
story kitchen ceiling below. There is a triple Tiffany styled pool table fixture with
antiqued brass ceiling fan with 4 lights with etched glass shades with four high gloss
stained blades. The game room has a complete wet bar with a Sanyo stainless steel
refrigerator with taupe tile flooring and a raised serving counter that is a taupe corian
with two lower cabinets and a single drawer. The flooring of the bar is 12” beige tiles.
The back portion of the bar has a corian countertop with an over mounted stainless bar
sink with a nickel finished center set gooseneck faucet and handles. Above the sink area,
there is a wine and glass rack that is stained in a dark oak finish. From the gameroom,
you can travel back down stairs, or enter several other rooms from the gameroom. To the
left of the bar is a 6 raised panel door to the bonus floored attic space. To the right of the
bar is bedroom #3, and further to the right on the adjacent wall is a small hallway that
leads to the full bathroom #4 and the baseball inspired 4th bedroom.
Bedroom #3 Suite (13 x 13 x 9) – This bedroom has a triple bay window
with a full window seat. There is a white 5-blade ceiling fan with 3 lights. To the right
of the entrance into this room are a built-in painted computer desk and three book shelves
with a decorative ledge on top. There are four drawers and two cabinets with lots of
electric outlets within the custom designed desk. There is a painted pocket door that
leads to the bathroom and closet.
Bathroom #3 (10 x 7 x 9) – This bathroom has bedroom #3 suite closet
attached with 35 individual shoe cubbies. The bathroom has yellow walls with a 12” 6-
bladed ceiling fan with three scalloped tulip lights with frosted shades. There is a
window to the left over the commode. To the right of the toilet is an enclosed shower
stall with 8” tiles with 6” slate diamond accents. The floor of the shower has 6” white
non-slip tiles with a single lever pewter faucet set mounted on the wall of the shower.
The bathroom floor is a combination of 12” and 6” tiles. The smaller tiles are frosted
blue/gray and the larger 12” tiles are beige. Next is the cultured marble countertop with a
vanity section with an inset for a chair underneath the white with white and golden rust
veined countertop. There is a wide set brushed nickel faucet set with found brushed
nickel knobs. There are three cabinets and two drawers beneath the sink vanity.
Additionally, there is a full painted linen cabinet with an upper plant ledge within this
bathroom. To the far right and rear of this bathroom is a 6’8” six-paneled door to the
carpet closet. As mentioned, this is a teenage girl’s dream closet with 35 built-in shoe
cubbies for 35 different pairs of shoes! This closet also has triple hanging and pocket
lighting, so the lights turn on as soon as you open the closet door.
Bedroom #4 (17 x 12 x 9) – For the baseball enthusiast, this large bedroom
with dark blue painted walls and a chair-rail of baseball players border wallpaper with
striped wallpaper below. There is a large built-in computer desk with shelves, drawers,
cabinets and outlet power. There is also dual door access to the closet, so you can see all
your clothes at once. There is also a pull-down staircase for the 3rd floor attic access.
Bathroom #4 (12 x 6 x 9) – This large bathroom is located down the right
hallway from the gameroom towards bedroom #4. This is a long bathroom with 12”
cream colored tiles, with a matching 12” 6-bladed ceiling fan with three tulip style lamp
shades as the other upstairs bathroom. The vanity of this bathroom has two drawers over
three lower cabinets. This bathroom has a tub/shower combination with an identical
built-in linen closet that is found in the other full bathrooms throughout the house. The
linen cabinet has 4 painted raised paneled doors with pewter knobs and a molded
trimmed plant ledge above the cabinet.
Unfinished Bonus Room/ Attic Storage (32 x 12 x 11) – Large
dormer “A” framed space with an 11' cathedral ceiling is a wonderful floored attic, and it
could be easily finished out to make an additional bedroom because it does have one
flush wall on the exterior of the house for a future window. It would also make a great
additional living space, craft room or upstairs dance studio or even hobby space.
Interior Features: This home is so detailed from an architectural point of view as
aesthetically pleasing. This home has lots of large storage space and huge closets as well
as many pocket doors to allow for maximum furniture capacity. The layout is smart and
roomy with the downstairs media room. It also maximizes the functionality of rooms
used today. You can make this home very formal if you’d like or you can make it very
comfortable and livable with the space more acclimated to today’s types of families. I
find that the rooms are very versatile to specific tastes. For example, this home has a
family room off of the foyer that could be used for a Formal Living Room if desired
because there are other rooms that could also be used for the Family Room as well. From
the media room, exercise room and four season’s room, this home has the additional
spaces desired in a home exactly where it makes the most sense to have them. I wish
every house had a closet with 35 cubbies for 35 pairs of shoes; this is a teenage girl’s
dream closet! I absolutely love the French Country design throughout this home to the
smallest detail like having a brick wall in the kitchen which is very common in French
Colonial style architecture and the antebellum homes of New Orleans. The DonTessa
takes you from the countryside of North Texas and transplants you atop the hills of Nice’
on the French Riviera. This estate is truly an escape from the hustle and bustle of Dallas
to the sweet and serine atmosphere of being nestled into your own forested grove of
opulent luxury in the country of Lucas in Creekwood Estates.
Front Elevation
The DonTessa is an extraordinary estate located on 2.409 heavily wooded acres backed
by White Rock Creek in the exquisite upscale neighborhood of Creekwood Estates
located in Lucas, Texas about a quarter mile from the west shore of Lake Lavon. This
home and neighborhood appear as if they were plucked right out of southeast Texas with
the towering trees, the lush gardens and landscaping with the green of spring over
abundant in every corner of this lot. The sounds of the trickling creek and the numerous
birds calling and cawing above with the constant rustling of leaves from the cool breeze
that is shaded from the Texas heat are everywhere within this serene estate. There is the
continuous pitter-patter of squirrels and bunnies running across the countryside.
Storybook style lends irresistible charm to this captivating estate. A brick and stone
façade creates the solid exterior of this French Country design. You might expect to find
a magnificent home like this along the banks of the Loire or within the hillside vineyards
of Bordeaux framed by the towering windows and shaded verandas along the front and
back of this home. Stone accents and wrap around stone porch announce the French
Country flavor of this charming estate.
A circular driveway that is illuminated by 4 stone and brick columns that is at the
forefront of the estate’s entry divide through the trees. The sloping lawn has numerous
gardens many of which are bordered by various natural stone retaining walls. The
vibrant green St. Augustine lawn has islands of liriope, day lilies, rose gardens and
bamboo with stone and natural paths winding throughout the grounds. There is abundant
storage within and outside this home. From the wrap around front porch, there is an
outside storage closet. Below the home with outside access is a full basement/ work
room with hundreds of feet of storage for lawn equipment and a hobby shop.
Rear Elevation
From the back of the home through the “four seasons” room that is a fully enclosed
screened in room, proceeding down curved natural stone steps to the sparkling pool and
spa with numerous water treatments including a large cascading waterfall and three
smaller sheet waterfalls from the stone coping around the large seeded aggregate decking
with natural stone accents and stone decking. The natural garden style landscaping with
numerous blooming shrubs frame the back of the pool as the land slopes down the hill.
The pool and outdoor entertaining area is fully surrounded by a custom wrought iron
fence. From the back of the pool area is a stone pathway that leads back towards the
greenhouse. Additionally, at the rear of the property is a modular, fully enclosed
greenhouse that is an option in the purchase of this estate.
At the back property line through the forest of towering trees is the trickling sounds from
White Rock Creek just before it enters Lake Lavon that is literally down the road a few
thousand feet to the entrance of Highland Park on Lavon’s northern west shore.
