Thank you also for taking the time to understand our operating processes and concerns while you were developing the amendment. The amendment is acceptable as is; however, we would like to suggest the following revisions: Please correct spelling of Moke lumne Aque ducts (see pages 1, F- 1, and F- 2). Page F- 2, first paragraph, last sentence: replace “Discharge Point E- 004 is only used during rare water transfers to discharge excess raw water” with “Discharge Point E- 004 is for raw water transfers from other sources.” Page F- 12, Table F-2 (Beneficial Uses of San Pablo Creek and San Pablo Reservoir): revise table so that it is consistent with Order No. R2-2009-0067 (Table F- 6) or the current Basin Plan (Table 2-1). Also, as per the Basin Plan, include the following qualifier for REC- 1: “Water quality objectives apply; water contact recreation is prohibited or limited to protect public health.” Replace Attachment B with the new figure (below) since Emergency Response Vehicle 972 is no longer in service. Replace Attachment C with the new figure (below) since the discharge for E- 001 originates closer to the confluence rapid mixer (rather than by the north rapid mixer). Also, for simplicity, we’ve removed the “supernatant” label and changed the labels from “excess raw water” to “raw water” and “raw water transfers” to “raw water.” Sincerely, Susan Susan Suzuki, P.E. Below is the revised Site Layout (new).

The 1/14/13 schematic was the final, but here it is again

From: Suzuki, Susan [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, January 14, 2013 8:19 AMTo: Teefy, SusanCc: Glendening, Susan@WaterboardsSubject: RE: Comments on EBMUD OrWTP Tentative Order

    I agree, thank you.

The schematic is a quick fix (see below)… I also changed “ammonia” to “ammonium hydroxide” so it’s

    consistent with the site layout.

The site layout could take awhile depending on Graphic Design’s schedule… so as far as the NPDES

permit amendment, we may have to be stuck with what we have (but I’ll go talk with Graphics right

    away today!).

    Hi Susan,

Just a minor edit in the schematic and the site layout attachments. The primary coagulant

should be shown as “polyaluminum chloride”. We are currently using Hyper+Ion 1020 from

General Chemical, but the supplier may change from year to year. Also in the list of

chemicals shown (under chemical building and administrative offices), polyaluminum

chloride should be includes along with the other chemicals.

    Thanks,

    Susan
