Sensors

Easily replaceable sensor head come factory calibrated.

Integrated signal processor samples and processes 24-bit sensor data and transmits it over RS-485.

•AquaSensor From Thermo Fisher Scientific

Sensors

• Sensors are pre-calibrated and calibration is stored in the sensor head.

• Sensors report 24-bit.

• Data is processed at the sensor body and reported digitally to the monitor, eliminating error created by interference.

Remote Access

• SmartMQn Water is compatible with Horner’s EnvisionFX and EnvisionRV software packages.

• EnvisionFX allows data log flies to be transferred from the monitor to one or more PCs.

• EnvisionRV allows remote viewing of your monitors from anywhere in the world.

Remote Access

HistoryHistory

• You can't manage what you don't measure.

• Lord Kelvin said in 1883, “When you can measure what you are speaking about, and express it in numbers, you know something about it; but when you cannot measure it, when you cannot express it in numbers, your knowledge is of a meager and unsatisfactory kind.”

• If you cannot measure it, you cannot improve it. — Lord Kelvin

• There have been several studies of feedback's effects on energy use. Just knowing how much energy and when it is used can save you between 5 and 15%.

Energy CostsEnergy Costs

• Electricity costs are continuing to rise and are becoming a significant cost of doing business.

• Even the recent economic downturn only caused a pause in pricing. January 2009 saw new energy cost increases creating inflation.

• SmartMQn Motor – provides motor protection, monitoring and data collection with energy monitoring and motor control.

• SmartMQn Energy – Low cost energy monitoring, data collection and load control. Perfect for machine department or section monitoring.

• SmartMQn Energy Plus – Monitors voltage, current, power factor kilowatt hours and more. Handles temperature monitoring and load shedding. Provides rich graphical information on it’s 5.7” touch screen and remotely communicates to other systems or provides web based information.

• SmartMQn Energy Manager – Provides a single point for configuring, monitoring and controlling multiple SmartMQn energy devices.

How is this going to save me money?

• Knowing how much energy is used and when it was used can help find waste. “That machine costs us $60 an hour in electricity, let’s optimize the runs with it.”

• Knowing how much energy it costs to run equipment can help adjust product costs to match energy usage.

• Switching off non critical loads can reduce peak demand and save money on demand charges. Controlling a single water heater or HVAC unit could pay for the equipment with demand costs savings.

• Scheduling energy intensive equipment for runs during non-peak hours can save significant costs.

• Monitoring power quality or motor operation can prevent costly down time or expensive equipment repair.

• Above is a plot from a SmartMQn Motor monitoring a 350HP motor on an air compressor. For about 12 hours a day the compressor is idling, drawing about 70KW but doing no work. By better controller the load or resizing the compressor $15,000 per year could be saved on electricity.

Occupancy sensor

• Each Zone is likely to have one Occupancy sensor

• Multiple lighting zone may share a single occupancy sensor, OS, as well as one Temperature Zone may cover multiple OS.

SmartMQn refrigeration( In Definition)

• Measure refrigeration systems

• Measures and logs refrigeration space

• Logs up to 512 Temperature points

• GPS and GSM

• Alarming

• Starts at $1050

SmartMQn Alarm (2weeks from being Finished)

• Monitors for Alarm conditions

• Sends SMS and Email messages

• Works with any SmarMQn system.

• Works with external systems using standard I/O

• Starts at $1050 with XLt– $30/month GSM

SmartMqn Water Pressure (Jan 2010)

• Constant pressure systems– Digital control– Analog control– Frequency Drive outputs– Up to 4 pumps– Motor protection.

SmartMqn Chart ( Jan 2010)

OCS replacement of older Chart recorders

• Charting and Data logging is a key to this product. We do both pretty well

• Additionally being able to replay the graph is critical (this will be the largest barrier for us to over come.)

• Last we will need to find a way to leave this in a binary form or encrypting CSV which I believe will lead to more challenges.

Analog Inputs• Recorder supports three type of channels up 36 channels !!!

Onboard Channels: The recorder shall have maximum 16 On-Board Inputs( 4 Analog). The number of available inputs and which are 4 Analog and 12Digital channels using the 105 I/O board.External Channels : External signals shall be implemented as an option, and shall be enabled via a code. The data values for this channel will be obtained by CSCAN MIX577/977 or SmartMod.Calculation Channels: The calculation channels shall be available as an option, and can be enabled by means of a ‘CSCAPE. The application shall allow a maximum of 12 calculation channels derived from the other physical channels (12 on-board and 12 external).

Protects Data When Power Interrupted

The internal flash memory is nonvolatile and holds measurement data even during a power interruption

Internal storage media uSD flash memory card up to 2GB

Keeps Your Data Secure recorder saves measurement data in CSV format which provides ease of transportability. Optionally the data may be stored in Binary format, then binary data can be convert into csv with an

small software tool (part of the enclosed software)

Connectivity

RS422A/485 MODBUS master/slave

– The MODBUS master option permits the Data Monitor to be expanded with 12 additional channels from decentralized equipment

– Direct connection of the Data Monitor as a MODBUS slave in existing plants– Data may be collected from other Modbus device like Drives or PLCs

Ethernet Web server function

– configuration of the recorder via internet browser– data evaluation via internet browser

E-mail function FTP Server/Client Function Modbus on TCP for external channels or for the connection to a Modbus
