A UNIQUE EVENING OF MUSIC TO BENEFITLOCAL BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR FOUNDATION

The Sing 4 Life Breast Cancer Foundation of Arizona and Steinway of Phoenix in Scottsdale presentIN PERFECT HARMONY, a free concert to benefit patients struggling to cope with breast cancer.

PHOENIX – (October 24, 2007) – The Sing for Life Breast Cancer Foundation of Arizona, a localnonprofit organization dedicated to the healing and cure of breast cancer, presents a free concertfeaturing three local child prodigies, a rare Steinway artist, and the singing group Soul Survivors at thisholiday showcase Friday, November 30th at Steinway of Phoenix in Scottsdale.

Also to premiere that evening is our 5th CD release “New Beginnings” featuring Laura and The SoulSurvivors and donated works by local musicians, and the newly-released book Voices of BreastCancer, a nation-wide anthology by The Healing Project and LaChance Publishing featuring 50 real-lifestories by people from all walks of life who write with candor and courage about their experiences withbreast cancer, including two local contributing authors who are members of the Soul Survivors and willbe in attendance.

There will be wine tasting and appetizers provided by The Wine List of Scottsdale, performances byLaura Fial and Friends, The Soul Survivors, special presentations by local artists and a full array ofjazz, standards and holiday music.

This is an upbeat celebration of life with all proceeds from donations and CD sales going to benefit thelocal Sing for Life Breast Cancer Foundation of Arizona, admission is free.

About the Sing 4 Life Breast Cancer Foundation of ArizonaThis 501(c)3 nonprofit organization embraces the benefits of music as an adjunct healing therapy forpatients coping with breast cancer. The foundation provides support to patients and their familiesthrough its various musical endeavors. Created in 2001 by two survivors, one a budding writer and theother a professional singer, they formed “The Soul Survivors” to gain support and strength bysurrounding themselves with others afflicted with breast cancer.

Although one of the founders, Marilyn Nierenberg-Shaoul lost her battle in 2005, “The Soul Survivors”carry on and perform for free at a variety of fundraisers in the greater Phoenix area, raising money fortheir foundation through the sale of their CD’s and various sponsorships. The foundation also awardsat least one annual scholarship to fulfill a personal educational need or project that will assist cancerpatients and their families.
