Organic Matter: Useful for

landscape jobs where soils must

meet certain specifications.

Fertilizer recommendations do

not change with OM values.

Soluble Salts: Useful if salt was

heavily applied to driveways or

sidewalks during winter icing.

Texture: Useful for landscape

jobs where soils must meet

certain specifications. One can

estimate texture by the feel

method.
