SHS  for  Transitional  shelter  Energy  services  for  tents,  canvas  structures  and  other  interim  accommodation.  For  women,  men  &  children  of  any  culture,  language,  literacy  or  technology  awareness.  Services:  • Lighting  –  bright  and  diffuse  for  personal  reading,  craftwork  or  navigation.  Replaces  the  need  for  

candles  or  fuel  lanterns.  • Mobile  phone  charging  –  enables  vital  communication  every  day  –  with  zero-­‐cost  charging.  • Radio  –  access  to  news  and  information.  A  critical  factor  following  humanitarian  trauma  for  the  

user  • USB  device  charging  –  small  USB  devices  can  be  charge  with  excess  daily  energy.  Optional  services:  • Personal  Fan  –  highly  useful  for  hot  climates  and  for  keeping  flies  and  insects  away.    • AA  battery  charging  –  for  torches,  baby  monitors  and  personal  alarms  &  media  equipment.
