The Inside Outside Mission Fair
is a showcase of the ministries our members
have been called to by God.
Stroll the patio and ask your brothers and
sisters how God is transforming them
through His Kingdom work.
San Clemente Presbyterian Church is
a Christian Community
that seeks to bless our community,
strengthen the Church universal and
deploy spiritually-transformed people into
the mission of the Kingdom.
We are sent every day everywhere!
We are called to be “Glocal” — caring for our global and
local neighbors!
We participate in ministries that develop transformative
relationships for ourselves and those God calls us to
serve.
We pray that God’s Kingdom will come in San Clemente
and around the world.

concerned about the lost who have an email address to join with us—at
no cost—to help reach many others for Christ. For more information go

exterior areas such as church offices,

group such as painting, woodworking, landscaping, masonry, carpentry,
plumbing, electrical, carpeting, etc. and we utilize these skills to help
provide a welcoming place of worship to the glory of God. New members

DISCIPLESHIP
MINISTRY
Discipleship at SCPC
encourages personal
transformation through
having a relationship with Christ. Having deeper connections in our
Christian community is a building block to this stronger relationship.
The foundation of discipleship at SCPC is our Groundings Experience.
Encountering Jesus at work in the world builds personal faith and
proclaims The Good News to others in living color. There are many
other ways for you to get plugged into this transforming power. Small
groups, Bible studies, mission trips, service groups and caring minis-
tries all provide further avenues to connect with Christ and the people
at SCPC. Feel the nudging of God? We want you to get plugged in!

FAMILY MINISTRY
From birth to college and career we believe that:
1) parents actively living their faith matters most,
2) being involved in a community of faith makes
faith stick, 3) mature disciples of Christ help us
each step of the way, 4) doubt well faced is faith
formation in process, 5) experiencing God's grace in the everyday
mysteries of life helps us endure through the hard times, and 6) faith
sticks when we make Christ a priority in all life decisions. SCPC Family
Ministry strives to build a foundation of Community, Conviction, and
Character in our young disciples by: 1) teaching the timeless truths of
Scripture and Reformed theology at age appropriate levels, 2)
empowering young disciples, 3) equipping parents, and 4) facilitating
intergenerational connections.

PRAYER MINISTRIES
We believe in the Holy Spirit’s
power to transform our hearts and
our lives through prayer. “Asking”
is the doorway to discovering the
profound joy of a transformed life as well as meeting our personal
concerns for family, friends, community and world. Jesus’ example
teaches us that prayer is essential to following God. Our ongoing
communication with God is the first place we share our joys, concerns
and sorrows. Rather than being offered as a last resort, our prayer is
given to us by God as the first step in reconciliation with Him. Prayer is
the lifeblood of the Christian life so our goal is to be a “prayer-
saturated church.” We do this through many prayer ministries at SCPC.
Contact Marylee Sanders at graysand@aol.com.
PRAYER CHAIN
There are 280 people on the Prayer Chain who receive prayer requests by
e-mail and phone. SCPC members and attendees request prayer for
themselves, family or friends by e-mailing or calling Kelly Perry. We will
have people praying within minutes.

PRAYERS & SQUARES
We can provide a prayer quilt for encouragement and comfort for
those whose friend or loved one is recovering from illness, loss or
17
injury. The congregation ties a
square knot and prays for that
person. The quilt is then given to
that person so they can feel
God's love. We have several
quilters but can always use
more. We would like someone
to help us find those who need
help, also.
