Not designed for posters but easy to use, known Already created presentations can be quickly adapted Used with all plotters
Different graphics programs can be used, depending on skill level InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. Acrobat for making PDFs or others for jpgs
PowerPoint Templates on web (Google poster template) Set poster size FIRST! Insert images Insert or copy charts
Best Practices You can use either PCs or Macs but more
consistently positive results from PCs Mac users--we can try to print it, but there are various
compatibility issues Make jpg or PDF just in case!
Stone Equipment
The plotters
3 Canon Color Plotters Set up to either print on glossy paper or
regular (coated) paper. $14.00/linear foot, glossy paper $10.00/linear foot, glossy paper $5.00/linear foot, plain paper
Maximum width - 42” on $5 & 10 plotters; 60” on $14 plotter

After Printing Spooling (cancelling) Drying Getting Poster
“Paying” for print jobs Computing Center operator will give you an
invoice Take to circulation/access services desk Identify yourself as Rawlings Presidential
Scholars Circulation will take your invoice, cross your
name off list, put invoice in program envelope, and give you a slip
Take slip back to the computer operators desk where you can then pick up your poster
Questions? Ask computing center student operators for
assistance. They are there to help with printing!
