Supervisor & Candidate are to take note that, in case of superannuation of the supervisor
or if supervisor of the candidate leaves the place of research and joins another institute/college,
before submission of thesis of his/her registered candidate, Ph.D. researcher should be made
aware by supervisor about his date of superannuation. Information about the date of
superannuation should be communicated by the supervisor/candidate to the Head, Place of
Research the Head, Place of Research shall allot another supervisor well in advance to such a
candidate by following the necessary procedure for allotment of supervisor and send the proposal
to seek approval from the University immediately.
Your date of registration will be considered subject to the fulfillment of the following
requirements within 30 days from the receipt of this letter.
1) Your application has been considered as per the provisions of the Direction No. 37/2017
issued as per the provisions of the Public Notice issued by the University Grants Commission
No. F.No.2014/(PS), dated 10th
March, 2017 regarding Regular Mode with reference to the Ph.D.
Degree. According the this notice Ph.D. Degree which is pursued either full time or part time
will be treated as degree awarded through regular mode provided this is in conformity with the
existing Statutes/bylaws/ordinances etc. of the degree awarding University. .
2) Full time Ph.D. Degree programme shall be for the minimum duration of three years and
part time degree programme shall be for the minimum duration of four years and six months
including course work and a maximum duration will be of 6 years for full time as well as for Part
time.
3) The Women candidates and persons with disability (More than 40% disability) may be
allowed a relaxation of two years in the maximum duration for both the Ph.D. Programme. In
addition, the women candidates may be provided maternity leave/child care leave once in the
duration of the Ph.D. Programme for up to 240 days.
4) Full time Ph.D. degree course shall be described to mean a course pursued by the
candidates who is not in full time or part time employment of any government organisation or
private and public enterprise and is devoting six hours a day at the place of Research,
5) Part time Ph.D degree course shall be described to mean a course pursued by the
candidate who is in some employment and is persuing the course by devoting at least five
hundred clock hours in a years for the said study, at the place of research of Research to be
certified by the concerned Supervisor and Head of the Place of Research,
6) After receipt of this registration letter undertaking must be submitted as per clause 5 and
6 with the help of affidavit on Rs. 100/- Stamp Paper signed by the Candidate, Supervisor and
Head Place of Research. (Proforma enclosed)
7) Re-Registration/ Extension will not be granted in any circumstance from the expiry of the
date of Registration as per the provisions of the Direction.
8) It is necessary for the supervisor to submit an undertaking stating that he/she will not
have more than 8 registered Ph.D. candidates (Grade of Professor) 6 Students (Grade of
Associate Professor) 4 Students (Grade of Assistant Professor) in the capacity as guide/co-guide
(In prescribed form). Ph.D. candidates shall submit this undertaking provided by the supervisor
along with other documents.
9) The candidate will be solely responsible for the authenticity of the information and
document submitted by him/her. if it is found that the candidate has provided Misleading/ false
/incorrect information, Registration would be liable to be cancelled.
10) Head/Supervisor of the candidate shall provide the copy of the letter of approval/renewal
of approval of place of research to the candidate to submit it along with other documents by the
candidate.
In addition to above, the candidate shall follow the instructions as mentioned below :
a) He/she shall submit his original qualifying degree certificate which shall be returned to
him after verification. Research scholar has to submit marklist/degree verification
certificate in original within 30 days from receipt of this letter failing which registration
stands cancelled.
b) He/she shall pay six monthly retention fee of Rs. 500/- (from the date of Registration)
every six months for retaining his/her name on the register of research students,
c) The course work shall be treated as pre-requisite for Ph.D. programme.
d) At least three months before the date of submission of the summary of the thesis, each
candidate shall make his/her pre-submission presentation at the place of research in the
presence of supervisor. The presentation shall be made before the Research Advisory
Committee constituted for the subject and shall be arranged by the Head of the Place of
Research on the request of the candidate duly endorsed by the supervisor.
e) It shall be mandatory for the researcher to publish at least one research paper in referred
journal/peer reviewed journal/ journal with ISSN or ISBN, relating to his/her topic of
Ph.D. Research and make two paper presentation in conferences/ seminar before
submission of the Ph.D. Thesis.
f) Research Scholar shall submit Progress Report of his/her research in every six months
to the Ph.D. Cell through the Head, Place of Research and the guide. If he/she fails to
submit three progress reports consecutively, his/her registration may be cancelled by
Research and Recognition Committee on the recommendations of the guide and of Head
of Place of Research.
g) This letter is subject to correction, if any.

registered at the respective place of research by paying prescribed fees for the Ph.D. programme
as per Notification No. RTMNU/16/3389 dated 4th

Supervisor & Candidate are to take note that, in case of superannuation of the supervisor
or if supervisor of the candidate leaves the place of research and joins another institute/college,
before submission of thesis of his/her registered candidate, Ph.D. researcher should be made
aware by supervisor about his date of superannuation. Information about the date of
superannuation should be communicated by the supervisor/candidate to the Head, Place of
Research the Head, Place of Research shall allot another supervisor well in advance to such a
candidate by following the necessary procedure for allotment of supervisor and send the proposal
to seek approval from the University immediately.
Your date of registration will be considered subject to the fulfillment of the following
requirements within 30 days from the receipt of this letter.
1) Your application has been considered as per the provisions of the Direction No. 37/2017
issued as per the provisions of the Public Notice issued by the University Grants Commission
No. F.No.2014/(PS), dated 10th
March, 2017 regarding Regular Mode with reference to the Ph.D.
Degree. According the this notice Ph.D. Degree which is pursued either full time or part time
will be treated as degree awarded through regular mode provided this is in conformity with the
existing Statutes/bylaws/ordinances etc. of the degree awarding University. .
2) Full time Ph.D. Degree programme shall be for the minimum duration of three years and
part time degree programme shall be for the minimum duration of four years and six months
including course work and a maximum duration will be of 6 years for full time as well as for Part
time.
3) The Women candidates and persons with disability (More than 40% disability) may be
allowed a relaxation of two years in the maximum duration for both the Ph.D. Programme. In
addition, the women candidates may be provided maternity leave/child care leave once in the
duration of the Ph.D. Programme for up to 240 days.
4) Full time Ph.D. degree course shall be described to mean a course pursued by the
candidates who is not in full time or part time employment of any government organisation or
private and public enterprise and is devoting six hours a day at the place of Research,
5) Part time Ph.D degree course shall be described to mean a course pursued by the
candidate who is in some employment and is persuing the course by devoting at least five
hundred clock hours in a years for the said study, at the place of research of Research to be
certified by the concerned Supervisor and Head of the Place of Research,
6) After receipt of this registration letter undertaking must be submitted as per clause 5 and
6 with the help of affidavit on Rs. 100/- Stamp Paper signed by the Candidate, Supervisor and
Head Place of Research. (Proforma enclosed)
7) Re-Registration/ Extension will not be granted in any circumstance from the expiry of the
date of Registration as per the provisions of the Direction.
8) It is necessary for the supervisor to submit an undertaking stating that he/she will not
have more than 8 registered Ph.D. candidates (Grade of Professor) 6 Students (Grade of
Associate Professor) 4 Students (Grade of Assistant Professor) in the capacity as guide/co-guide
(In prescribed form). Ph.D. candidates shall submit this undertaking provided by the supervisor
along with other documents.
9) The candidate will be solely responsible for the authenticity of the information and
document submitted by him/her. if it is found that the candidate has provided Misleading/ false
/incorrect information, Registration would be liable to be cancelled.
10) Head/Supervisor of the candidate shall provide the copy of the letter of approval/renewal
of approval of place of research to the candidate to submit it along with other documents by the
candidate.
In addition to above, the candidate shall follow the instructions as mentioned below :
a) He/she shall submit his original qualifying degree certificate which shall be returned to
him after verification. Research scholar has to submit marklist/degree verification
certificate in original within 30 days from receipt of this letter failing which registration
stands cancelled.
b) He/she shall pay six monthly retention fee of Rs. 500/- (from the date of Registration)
every six months for retaining his/her name on the register of research students,
c) The course work shall be treated as pre-requisite for Ph.D. programme.
d) At least three months before the date of submission of the summary of the thesis, each
candidate shall make his/her pre-submission presentation at the place of research in the
presence of supervisor. The presentation shall be made before the Research Advisory
Committee constituted for the subject and shall be arranged by the Head of the Place of
Research on the request of the candidate duly endorsed by the supervisor.
e) It shall be mandatory for the researcher to publish at least one research paper in referred
journal/peer reviewed journal/ journal with ISSN or ISBN, relating to his/her topic of
Ph.D. Research and make two paper presentation in conferences/ seminar before
submission of the Ph.D. Thesis.
f) Research Scholar shall submit Progress Report of his/her research in every six months
to the Ph.D. Cell through the Head, Place of Research and the guide. If he/she fails to
submit three progress reports consecutively, his/her registration may be cancelled by
Research and Recognition Committee on the recommendations of the guide and of Head
of Place of Research.

to seek approval from the University immediately.

requirements within 30 days from the receipt of this letter.
1) Your application has been considered as per the provisions of the Direction No. 37/2017
issued as per the provisions of the Public Notice issued by the University Grants Commission
No. F.No.2014/(PS), dated 10th
March, 2017 regarding Regular Mode with reference to the Ph.D.
Degree. According the this notice Ph.D. Degree which is pursued either full time or part time
will be treated as degree awarded through regular mode provided this is in conformity with the
existing Statutes/bylaws/ordinances etc. of the degree awarding University. .
2) Full time Ph.D. Degree programme shall be for the minimum duration of three years and
part time degree programme shall be for the minimum duration of four years and six months
including course work and a maximum duration will be of 6 years for full time as well as for Part
time.
3) The Women candidates and persons with disability (More than 40% disability) may be
allowed a relaxation of two years in the maximum duration for both the Ph.D. Programme. In
addition, the women candidates may be provided maternity leave/child care leave once in the
duration of the Ph.D. Programme for up to 240 days.
4) Full time Ph.D. degree course shall be described to mean a course pursued by the
candidates who is not in full time or part time employment of any government organisation or
private and public enterprise and is devoting six hours a day at the place of Research,
5) Part time Ph.D degree course shall be described to mean a course pursued by the
candidate who is in some employment and is persuing the course by devoting at least five
hundred clock hours in a years for the said study, at the place of research of Research to be
certified by the concerned Supervisor and Head of the Place of Research,
6) After receipt of this registration letter undertaking must be submitted as per clause 5 and
6 with the help of affidavit on Rs. 100/- Stamp Paper signed by the Candidate, Supervisor and

7) Re-Registration/ Extension will not be granted in any circumstance from the expiry of the
date of Registration as per the provisions of the Direction.
8) It is necessary for the supervisor to submit an undertaking stating that he/she will not
have more than 8 registered Ph.D. candidates (Grade of Professor) 6 Students (Grade of
Associate Professor) 4 Students (Grade of Assistant Professor) in the capacity as guide/co-guide
(In prescribed form). Ph.D. candidates shall submit this undertaking provided by the supervisor
along with other documents.
9) The candidate will be solely responsible for the authenticity of the information and
document submitted by him/her. if it is found that the candidate has provided Misleading/ false
/incorrect information, Registration would be liable to be cancelled.
10) Head/Supervisor of the candidate shall provide the copy of the letter of approval/renewal
of approval of place of research to the candidate to submit it along with other documents by the
candidate.
In addition to above, the candidate shall follow the instructions as mentioned below :
a) He/she shall submit his original qualifying degree certificate which shall be returned to
him after verification. Research scholar has to submit marklist/degree verification
certificate in original within 30 days from receipt of this letter failing which registration
stands cancelled.
b) He/she shall pay six monthly retention fee of Rs. 500/- (from the date of Registration)
every six months for retaining his/her name on the register of research students,
c) The course work shall be treated as pre-requisite for Ph.D. programme.
d) At least three months before the date of submission of the summary of the thesis, each
candidate shall make his/her pre-submission presentation at the place of research in the
presence of supervisor. The presentation shall be made before the Research Advisory
Committee constituted for the subject and shall be arranged by the Head of the Place of
Research on the request of the candidate duly endorsed by the supervisor.
e) It shall be mandatory for the researcher to publish at least one research paper in referred
journal/peer reviewed journal/ journal with ISSN or ISBN, relating to his/her topic of
Ph.D. Research and make two paper presentation in conferences/ seminar before
submission of the Ph.D. Thesis.
f) Research Scholar shall submit Progress Report of his/her research in every six months
to the Ph.D. Cell through the Head, Place of Research and the guide. If he/she fails to
submit three progress reports consecutively, his/her registration may be cancelled by
Research and Recognition Committee on the recommendations of the guide and of Head
of Place of Research.
g) This letter is subject to correction, if any.

candidates who is not in full time or part time employment of any government organisation or
private and public enterprise and is devoting six hours a day at the place of Research,

Research the Head, Place of Research shall allot another supervisor well in advance to such a
candidate by following the necessary procedure for allotment of supervisor and send the proposal
to seek approval from the University immediately.

1) Your application has been considered as per the provisions of the Direction No. 37/2017
issued as per the provisions of the Public Notice issued by the University Grants Commission
No. F.No.2014/(PS), dated 10th
March, 2017 regarding Regular Mode with reference to the Ph.D.
Degree. According the this notice Ph.D. Degree which is pursued either full time or part time
will be treated as degree awarded through regular mode provided this is in conformity with the
existing Statutes/bylaws/ordinances etc. of the degree awarding University. .
2) Full time Ph.D. Degree programme shall be for the minimum duration of three years and
part time degree programme shall be for the minimum duration of four years and six months
including course work and a maximum duration will be of 6 years for full time as well as for Part
time.
3) The Women candidates and persons with disability (More than 40% disability) may be
allowed a relaxation of two years in the maximum duration for both the Ph.D. Programme. In
addition, the women candidates may be provided maternity leave/child care leave once in the
duration of the Ph.D. Programme for up to 240 days.
4) Full time Ph.D. degree course shall be described to mean a course pursued by the
candidates who is not in full time or part time employment of any government organisation or
private and public enterprise and is devoting six hours a day at the place of Research,
5) Part time Ph.D degree course shall be described to mean a course pursued by the
candidate who is in some employment and is persuing the course by devoting at least five
hundred clock hours in a years for the said study, at the place of research of Research to be
certified by the concerned Supervisor and Head of the Place of Research,
6) After receipt of this registration letter undertaking must be submitted as per clause 5 and
6 with the help of affidavit on Rs. 100/- Stamp Paper signed by the Candidate, Supervisor and

7) Re-Registration/ Extension will not be granted in any circumstance from the expiry of the
date of Registration as per the provisions of the Direction.
8) It is necessary for the supervisor to submit an undertaking stating that he/she will not
have more than 8 registered Ph.D. candidates (Grade of Professor) 6 Students (Grade of
Associate Professor) 4 Students (Grade of Assistant Professor) in the capacity as guide/co-guide
(In prescribed form). Ph.D. candidates shall submit this undertaking provided by the supervisor
along with other documents.
9) The candidate will be solely responsible for the authenticity of the information and
document submitted by him/her. if it is found that the candidate has provided Misleading/ false
/incorrect information, Registration would be liable to be cancelled.
10) Head/Supervisor of the candidate shall provide the copy of the letter of approval/renewal
of approval of place of research to the candidate to submit it along with other documents by the
candidate.
In addition to above, the candidate shall follow the instructions as mentioned below :
a) He/she shall submit his original qualifying degree certificate which shall be returned to
him after verification. Research scholar has to submit marklist/degree verification
certificate in original within 30 days from receipt of this letter failing which registration
stands cancelled.
b) He/she shall pay six monthly retention fee of Rs. 500/- (from the date of Registration)
every six months for retaining his/her name on the register of research students,
c) The course work shall be treated as pre-requisite for Ph.D. programme.
d) At least three months before the date of submission of the summary of the thesis, each
candidate shall make his/her pre-submission presentation at the place of research in the
presence of supervisor. The presentation shall be made before the Research Advisory
Committee constituted for the subject and shall be arranged by the Head of the Place of
Research on the request of the candidate duly endorsed by the supervisor.
e) It shall be mandatory for the researcher to publish at least one research paper in referred
journal/peer reviewed journal/ journal with ISSN or ISBN, relating to his/her topic of
Ph.D. Research and make two paper presentation in conferences/ seminar before
submission of the Ph.D. Thesis.
f) Research Scholar shall submit Progress Report of his/her research in every six months
to the Ph.D. Cell through the Head, Place of Research and the guide. If he/she fails to
submit three progress reports consecutively, his/her registration may be cancelled by
Research and Recognition Committee on the recommendations of the guide and of Head
of Place of Research.

8) It is necessary for the supervisor to submit an undertaking stating that he/she will not
have more than 8 registered Ph.D. candidates (Grade of Professor) 6 Students (Grade of
Associate Professor) 4 Students (Grade of Assistant Professor) in the capacity as guide/co-guide
(In prescribed form). Ph.D. candidates shall submit this undertaking provided by the supervisor
along with other documents.
9) The candidate will be solely responsible for the authenticity of the information and
document submitted by him/her. if it is found that the candidate has provided Misleading/ false
/incorrect information, Registration would be liable to be cancelled.
10) Head/Supervisor of the candidate shall provide the copy of the letter of approval/renewal
of approval of place of research to the candidate to submit it along with other documents by the
candidate.
In addition to above, the candidate shall follow the instructions as mentioned below :
a) He/she shall submit his original qualifying degree certificate which shall be returned to
him after verification. Research scholar has to submit marklist/degree verification
certificate in original within 30 days from receipt of this letter failing which registration
stands cancelled.
b) He/she shall pay six monthly retention fee of Rs. 500/- (from the date of Registration)
every six months for retaining his/her name on the register of research students,
c) The course work shall be treated as pre-requisite for Ph.D. programme.
d) At least three months before the date of submission of the summary of the thesis, each
candidate shall make his/her pre-submission presentation at the place of research in the
presence of supervisor. The presentation shall be made before the Research Advisory
Committee constituted for the subject and shall be arranged by the Head of the Place of
Research on the request of the candidate duly endorsed by the supervisor.
e) It shall be mandatory for the researcher to publish at least one research paper in referred
journal/peer reviewed journal/ journal with ISSN or ISBN, relating to his/her topic of
Ph.D. Research and make two paper presentation in conferences/ seminar before
submission of the Ph.D. Thesis.
f) Research Scholar shall submit Progress Report of his/her research in every six months
to the Ph.D. Cell through the Head, Place of Research and the guide. If he/she fails to
submit three progress reports consecutively, his/her registration may be cancelled by
Research and Recognition Committee on the recommendations of the guide and of Head
of Place of Research.
g) This letter is subject to correction, if any.

before submission of thesis of his/her registered candidate, Ph.D. researcher should be made
aware by supervisor about his date of superannuation. Information about the date of
superannuation should be communicated by the supervisor/candidate to the Head, Place of
Research the Head, Place of Research shall allot another supervisor well in advance to such a
candidate by following the necessary procedure for allotment of supervisor and send the proposal
to seek approval from the University immediately.
Your date of registration will be considered subject to the fulfillment of the following
requirements within 30 days from the receipt of this letter
1) Your application has been considered as per the provisions of the Direction No. 37/2017
issued as per the provisions of the Public Notice issued by the University Grants Commission
No. F.No.2014/(PS), dated 10th
March, 2017 regarding Regular Mode with reference to the Ph.D.
Degree. According the this notice Ph.D. Degree which is pursued either full time or part time
will be treated as degree awarded through regular mode provided this is in conformity with the
existing Statutes/bylaws/ordinances etc. of the degree awarding University. .
2) Full time Ph.D. Degree programme shall be for the minimum duration of three years and
part time degree programme shall be for the minimum duration of four years and six months
including course work and a maximum duration will be of 6 years for full time as well as for
Part time.
3) The Women candidates and persons with disability (More than 40% disability) may be
allowed a relaxation of two years in the maximum duration for both the Ph.D. Programme. In
addition, the women candidates may be provided maternity leave/child care leave once in the
duration of the Ph.D. Programme for up to 240 days.
4) Full time Ph.D. degree course shall be described to mean a course pursued by the
candidates who is not in full time or part time employment of any government organisation or
private and public enterprise and is devoting six hours a day at the place of Research,

candidate who is in some employment and is persuing the course by devoting at least five
hundred clock hours in a years for the said study, at the place of research of Research to be
