Hardware

INSTALLATION1.Firstassemblethetwoforks(2)ontheplate(3)with4screws(B).Keepinmindthattheforksshouldpointupandmakesurethelogoisfacingtheoutsideoftheforksandisnotupsidedown.

2.Attachtheplate(4)onthebackoftheplate(3)with4screws(A).Donottightenthebolts.Youmayhavetoswiveltherackaftermountingitonthetowertogettherackhorizontal.

3.Removefourhexheadcapscrews(C)frommountingcollar.Splitcollarandplaceblackcollarinserts(D)insidemountingcollar.

4.Selectasuitablelocationforyourrack.FortheAddicttower,itisbesttomounttherackabout2/3rdofthewayuptherearlegs.Forothertowers,mountracksononeoftheverticalorhorizontaltubes.

5.Placemountingcollarontowerandreplacehexheadcapscrews(C).Tightenscrewstoatorquesettingof22ft/lbs.Itisimportanttotightenthescrewsevenlyorcollarmaybind,causingthreaddamage.Asmallgapbetweenmountingcollarhal-veswillremainwhentightenedproperly.Notice:Improperbolttorquecouldleadtopoorperformanceorproductfailure.

6.Notetokeepaholdontherackasuptothispointtherackisnotattachedontheclampandcanfalloffanytime.Attachtheplateassemblyonthemountingcollarwhichismountedonthetower.Swiveltherackinahorizontalposition.Tightenscrews(A)toatorquesettingof22ft/lbs.Insertthebigknobandmakesuretotightentheknobsothattherackcannotfallofduringuse.

7.Toremovetherackfromthetowerforstorage,youonlyhavetounscrewthebigknobinthemiddleandtakeofftherack.Notetokeepaholdontherackasuptothispointtherackisnotattachedontheclampandcanfalloffanytime.

Care and MaintenanceI. Besuretocheckandtightenallfastenersandconnectionspriortoeveryuse.II. Youcanmaintainthenewappearanceofyourboardracksbywipingwithacleandampclothaftereachuse. Soapywater,carwaxoracommerciallyavailablemarinewaterspotremovercanbeusedasneeded. Avoidabrasivematerialsthatmightscratchthefinish.III. Alwaysrinserackaftercontactwithsalt(brackish)water.
