ETIQUETTE for ROTARACT MEETINGS

WHY PROTOCOL?

- Enhances prestige of organization

- Brings decorum to a meeting

PRESIDENT AS MEETING CHAIRPERSON

- Calls Meeting to Order- Does General Welcome,

Acknowledgements- Ensures Agenda will be followed- Informs persons beforehand of

roles during meeting- If President absent? …….

- Current- Past

- Future

PROTOCOL FOR MEMBERS

- President must ALWAYS be addressed

- Reference to other Rotaractors- Informing of absence or

lateness, reports, submitted, etc.

“President John, Fellow Rotaractors & Guests”

- Guests should not introduce themselves

- Greeter/Sarge welcome guests, visitors

- Thank you for coming- Did you enjoy the meeting?- Did you sign our guestbook?

AGENDA- Must be adhered to- Guest Speaker as second to

last item on agenda- Last item is Vote of Thanks- All “business” conducted before

any activities- No Politics/Religion- Grace should be invocation for

all denominations

- Men wear on LEFT collar- Ladies wear on RIGHT collar(According to button flap on clothing)

EMAIL ETIQUETTE

- Respond within 48 hours of receiving email

- Protocol must be observed :

“Good Day ADRR Mark, Received your email. President Marie will be sending you the information you requested by the end of this week. YIR, Secretary Janet. “

introduction”- NO “Without further ado….”
