SCRUM

• Sprint 0– Maybe start on Mon end on Fri– 2 weeks

• Teachers– Guides through process– Example in RUV (Integrated Project)

• Release backlog– Everything that needs to be done on a post-it

• Prioritize

Sprint Planning Meetings

• Mondays (if we can move)• Revaluate the backlog and prioritize• May get to move Friday afternoon– Scientific trip conflicts (invite by companies)– Holidays

• Take minutes/notes and put in wiki!

Daily SCRUMS

• Meet every day for 15 minutes (SCRUM)– Everyone stands– Don´t let them go overtime!– Some may miss one, but PM need to be there– Go through the backlog and see what people are working on

• Questions to answer at meeting– What have you done?– Are there any problems?– What do you plan to have done by tomorrow

• Last class it was at the same time, 4 days/week at 16:00

SCRUM Master Duties

• Run the project• Make meetings happen• Motivate and stay in contact with everyone

Scrum Review Meeting

• Go through each sticker in “complete”– Demonstration to make sure they actually were

completed• E.g. Thermal image to recognize hot-spots -- shows the

program running on a laptop that puts a box on the image• Take snapshot! Live demos are hard.

– It is bad if there are many in the “incomplete”– Learn/adjust for next sprint

Money

• Our budget is still under negotiation – “not signed on the dotted line”

• Community fund– Appliced for 1.2 Mil ISK

• RU has put out some acquisitions– Hoping to be reimbursed

• Someone needs to be accountant/acquisitions– Interface with Sigrún, Hrannar(Electrical),

Gísli(Mechanical)

Buying things

• As early as possible• BUT do research first– DONT buy the wrong thing because you are

hurried– Make estimations of risk

• Get estimations on lead time and availability– Things take surprisingly long times to get here
