Project overview:

In today’s competitive professional design world, it is becoming more andmore difficult to break through and get paid design work. For this reason,every designer is trying to stand out from the crowd and to showcasetheir originality. This brief should help you work toward this achievablegoal. We want you to develop your own personal brand to showcase yourstyle. This should be treated like any other branding project, but this timeyou are the client!

Think about your logo mark first; what style do you want it to be?Illustrative, a simple crest, or a stamp? Typographic with an icon orsymbol? The possibilities are endless, and the decision is yours. Onceyou have done some research into personal branding and have begungetting inspired, start by sketching out your name, or your freelancename, in various creative, exploratory ways.

Once you have completed this step, you can begin to experiment withcolor palettes and other option. The direction you take is completely upto you, but make sure it resembles you and your personality! This is yourchance to sell yourself, so make it professional and eye-catching.Remember, sometimes the most successful and memorable brands arealso the simplest. Don’t over complicate the design; only use what isnecessary, and discard any clutter.
