Ketoconazole shampoo has been changed from a prescription only to an over-the-counter (OTC) product in the UK, reports the Pharmaceutical Journal.
Ketoconazole shampoo ['Nizoral'; Johnson & JohnsonlMerck Sharp & Dohme] will be available OTe from mid to late March and can be used in the treatment of dandruff and seborrhoea. Pharmacy support packs, including patient leaflets, are available for the product.
