A lot of the time, we know we'd take that second option.

While unpacking this project brief, we realized that part of the issue of waste related to these product typologies has to do with how we conceive of value in our dining experiences.

Alot of the time, we place a great deal of value on getting a lot of food for our money.

We wish to question this construct of value and propose that (especially given the current economic outlook) people often might opt to pay a little less for one meal instead of doing the meal+leftovers thing which is no different than buying two meals at once.

The primary manifestation of this project is a reformatting of many restaurant menus to include the option of half-portion meals.

By giving people options, we feel that many would choose to consume with more restraint and thereby consume less post-meal packaging as well.
