Message from your Exalted Ruler… Greetings to all Lodge #1784 Members! Autumn is here and I would like to thank all of our members, visiting members and volunteers for a very successful summer season. You may not have noticed but some desperately needed sprucing up has been done to the Lodge lately. The Captains lounge, main hall, and bar have all been repainted and all ductwork throughout the building has been cleaned.
On August 26th we held our first family day and soccer shoot. We had a beautiful day and a good turn out with 18 children participating. Six of these children will move on to the districts at the end of the month. Thank you PER Jerry Cox for running this event. On September 24th the Grand Exalted Ruler came by for a visit. He and his wife Patricia enjoyed our hospitality, fine food, and beverages. They toured our Lodge and had some very nice comments for us. Upcoming events for this month include; Oct 12th our Italian person of the year. Oct 14th is our Oktoberfest with Glenn’s famous Tuba band, food, beer tasting, and dancing to Nu Groove. Oct 23rd we are having our yearly DD Audit. On Oct 28th we have the children’s and adult Halloween parties. Oct 31st we will have our DD visit. On November 5th Elvis will be in the building. Get your tickets for all of these events early as I know they will be great fun and sell out. And as always, we ask that you think about Volunteering. Our serving teams are in need and even an hour on a Tuesday or Thursday night would be of great help. May God Bless you and our Lodge Fraternally, Rex Clayton Exalted Ruler

The Elk parent or stepparent must have been a member in good standing for at least one year before they passed or became totally disabled. For more information on eligibility visit enf.elks.org/eeg. In 2017-18, the Elks National Foundation allocated $323,890 to fund the Emergency Educational Grant program for children of deceased or totally disabled Elks. If you know any Elks children who may be eligible to receive an Emergency Educational Grant, encourage them to visit enf.elks.org/eeg for information, including eligibility and deadlines.
