Introducing Our New Director

My  name  is  Alicia  Allard  and  I  am  excited  to  be  joining  the  NWIC  Early  Learning  Center  as  the  new  Director.    We  will  continue  to  provide  high-‐quality  childcare  and  family  support  for  students  and  staff  of  Northwest  Indian  College  and  Lummi  Nation.

I  have  been  working  with  Lummi  Early  Learning  programs  since  2009  as  a  Teacher  at  Lummi  Head  Start,  and  Parent  Educator  at  the    Teen  Parent  Child  Development  Center.    Prior  to  my  career  in  early  childhood  education  I  worked  as  a  Community  Health  Educator  at  the  Mother  Baby  Center.

I  am  passionate  about  providing  high-‐quality  tribal  early  learning  services  and  empowering  families  to  be  their  child’s  first  teacher.    I  hold  a  BA  in  Human  Services  from  WWU,  and  will  graduate  in  August  2014  with  a  Master’s  in  Early  Childhood:  Administration,  Management  &  Leadership  from  Walden  University.    I  also  hold  an  Infant  &  Toddler  Child  Development  Associate  (CDA).

Please  feel  free  to  contact  me  with  any  questions,  concerns  or  ideas.

 Hy’shqe,

Alicia Allard 360-392-4260
