Club Round-up 2014
Welcome!
The Nissansportz club has had an amazing year – with so much going on it is easy to have missed some of it, so
here is a roundup of what our members have been up to.
GT-R nismo GT3 testing at Donington on Thursday 13th February
Some lucky Nissansportz members got to go behind the Scenes on a Donington Park Test day, with thanks to Steve and his JRM team, and Jason from JMH who made the members feel very welcome. The main purpose of the event was to provide opportunities for Team Principals and their Drivers to see and experience the cars with a view to running them in the GT Cup and other series.
Mod Day 1st March 2014 in Surrey
The first of the Mod days at the Chilli’s great turnout for everyone again and a chance to say a big hello to some of the new faces. Between pulling people's dashboards apart and plasti-dip, people listening to Exhausts and of course the breakfast – everyone had a wonderful day. Full Report & Pictures Here:

Special Invitation to Donington on Thu 24th April There was an exclusive members only opportunity to get behind the scenes with the JRM team and a look around the Mighty Nissan GTR Race car with "touring-car-legend" Andrew Jordan and Jody Fannin (BRDC's Rising star of 2013) While guys from JRM bombarded the potential buyers and runners with facts about the car and how they run.
Pictures and reports from Alex_C are here.
Duxford Car Show – 4th May in Cambridgeshire
An amazing day for the weather and the turnout at
the Annual May Duxford car club event as
nissansportz showed other clubs up, Chubbs rolled
out his radio controlled challenge and Clarkson’s
comments such as 'where do you think you have
come' those moments were epic and worthy of any
Sunday evening, the Kids loved it, the parents were
really happy and I think there are some new fans of
the club and the brand. Great effort. Over 30 cars
attended this event. Pictures & reports Here

Supercar Siege 2014 – 18th May Leeds Castle
Apparently not Leeds in Yorkshire as one member recalled at the AGM. A real variety of cars turning up made
it seem like it was going to be a fantastic day and it really was. The setting is just perfect for a car show with
the castle as the background and surrounded by water and pleasant gardens.
Cars on display ranged from MX5s to Caterhams and from Lambos to the new McLaren P1 and everything else
in between (including our rather eclectic stand!) There was a real strong showing of Mitsubishi Evos and many
a Skyline too including a 650bhp Skyline estate (you all thought my car was stealthy!). Full reports and pictures

Mod Day – 21st June in Surrey
Pictures by Chilli Red & WoREoD
Another successful and enjoyable Mod day in June – the weather was amazing, members had a great day and
it was the first time the new GTR of WoREoD was seen at a club event. Pictures from the Day Here
12th July - Nissan Staff & Family Event @ Donington
An exclusive invitation was received from Nissan GB to members of
nissansportz to attend and support the annual Staff and Family event. It was a
massively hot day as members gave passenger rides around the Historic Loop.
Members went for passenger rides in Drift cars or blagged their way into the
Donington Circuit itself for some race action.
Full Pictures and reports from the day are available here
Beaulieu Simply Japanese 3 Aug
August and another club event this time at Beaulieu for Simply Japanese.
An event described by one member as on par with Duxford for things to see. Full report Here.
Run 2 Scotland 2014 - 23 Aug-24 Aug
Day one - Glencoe, and day two - Glenshee; simply stunning even when driven as a convoy. We were
particularly lucky with the weather but the scenery would be outstanding in any case.

Carfest South – 22 Aug – 24 Aug
Members did a fantastic job of selling Nissans!
With a very busy stand. Report Here
On Saturday there were four 14 plate cars on the
stand with the NISMO 370 z in the center.
I'm sure people prefer to talk to knowledgeable
owners.
First time many members had seen the laFerrari,
Lexus RCF and Alfa 4c.
Atmosphere was great bootleg Beatles were
excellent as was Seasick Steve
Impressive fireworks at the end was a nice
surprise. Even better it was all for Charity. Picture by WoREoD
Mod Day – 13th September in Surrey
Another great day, another great bunch of
people. The weather was extremely kind again
a theme in 2014 for Nissansportz events.
So many first timers. Really good to see
everyone who came in non-Nissan cars, wonderful that although the cars have gone, you haven't.

Nissan Invitation Event - Nurburgring - 23rd September
On the 3rd September Nissan GB gave us a preliminary notice on a Track Day event to take place on
Nurburgring’s Nordschleife circuit on the 23rd September and asked whether any of our members might wish
to attend.
Provoking some frantic arrangement making for our interested members, we finally managed to get five cars
boarding Shuttle trains on the 22nd September.
The event was to both celebrate NISMO’s 30 year anniversary, and, in the background to the Track Day, to allow owners awaiting delivery of their GT-R NISMOs to experience the pre-productions cars. Full reports and pictures for this special member’s only event here
Silver Ball Cafe A10 and Shuttleworth Collection – 12th October
A really good turnout at the
Silver Ball Café - just the
other side of Royston, well
loved by Bikers in
Cambridgeshire for a full
English. After a quick chat
outside, off to Shuttleworth
Collection. Some spirited
driving, and great country
roads.
Arriving at Shuttleworth Collection, parking up and chat. Soon the Cameras were out, a really enjoyable trip out. Report Here

Christmas Party, Kettering Spa Hotel – 29th November Report & Pictures Here
what a wonderful way to end the year of activities. A big turnout at the Christmas Party, which raised £385 for Air Ambulance. Roulette table and a few drinks.
Finally……
Thank you – one and all, none of these events would be possible without the organization, and commitment of the members to attend events. We had some great times this year, we got sun burned – we laughed, we lost fake money on the Roulette tables. The weather was kind, we raised money for Charity, and we covered many thousands of miles. We had a good time!
…and planning is well under way for events in 2015.
