Take Possession of your own mind with conviction

Possession: : something that you own or that you are carrying with you at any time

Mind: thinking, emotion, feeling, and understanding

Conviction: a strong opinion or belief be the owner of your mind, thinking,

emotion, feeling and act with strong belief.

Each person has a brain and a nervous system. They have inherited the power to achieve in principle anything in life.

Your passion, emotions,

instincts, tendencies,

feeling, moods, attitude,

and habits are all yours

to direct.

W. Clement Stone’s observation: You are a mind with a body. You can control your thoughts, control your emotions, and ordain your destiny.

William James’s conviction: We become what we think about most of the time.

MPA’s quotients: You have unlimited mental capacities, but it is up to you to use this power of your mind to think positively, so that they all work to your advantage.

Step 2: Keep Your Mind on the Things You Want and off the Things You Don’t Want

Introduction

Once you take possession of your own mind, you have to keep control of it, the best way is to keep it focused on the things you want and off the things you don’t want.

You must learn, therefore, to discipline your thoughts and visualize the things you want, the wholesome characteristics you wish to acquire. You have the power to direct your thoughts, control your emotions, and thus ordain your destiny.

What’s the golden rule?

‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.’

Introduction

It means that you treat other people as the way you wanted to be treated.

Living the Golden Rule

- Living the golden rule means you must stand up for others, be their guardian, protector, and advocate.

- Look for the good in everyone and in every circumstance and be a good-finder, but not a fault-finder.

- If you bring happiness to someone , it will return to you many times if you do it not for your own sake.

Share a portion of what you have. In sharing with others, you give away a portion of your self, but that which remains with you multiples and grows.

o To be happy in our lives and make other people happy is when we think and act positively.

o Positive thinking is a mental attitude in which you expect good and favorable results.

o In other words, positive thinking is the process of creating thoughts that create and transform energy into reality.

- Tolerance: respect what other people believe in what they want

- Form a Habit of Tolerance: try to like and accept people for who they are, but not demand them as you want them to be

• Any stimulus sent through your brain through your five senses-sight, hearing, touch, taste, or smell- is a form of suggestion.

• All of these are pathways by which external elements influence you every day of your life.

• Everything you come in contact with is recorded in your subconscious mind by your five senses.

Self-Suggestion• Self-Suggestion is the process of purposely

and deliberately offering stimuli to yourself in

the form of seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting, or

smelling.

• Use metal pictures or thoughts as a from of

self-suggestion.

• Under “suggestion,” you were warned to see

to it that what enters your five senses is

wholesome and gratifying.

• Look for the good in whatever you see or hear

or taste or smell or feel.

Auto-Suggestion

Auto-suggestion is the transmission and

communication of information stored in the

subconscious mind back to your conscious mind.

This information to you in the form of ideas,

dreams, feelings, concepts, principles, solutions,

and thoughts.

When you deliberately feed your mind with good,

wholesome thoughts and information, and keep

yourself in the proper frame of mind, you are

supplying the subconscious with nourishing

material to feel back to you.

Each day you need to spend some time for yourself. This time, which Napoleon Hill called “study, think and plan daily time”, is crucial to continuous self-improvement and development.

The Formula EACH DAY you spend private time with

yourself at least fifteen to twenty minutes that you: Think about your goals… with PMA. Inspect your attitudes… with PMA. Inspect your actions and your

thinking… with PMA. Read inspirational, self-help action

material, if it is only a paragraph or a page… with PMA.

Take time to study, to think, and to plan… with PMA.
