prefaceMy book is all about my experiences in nandi hills while exploring the arkavati basin. These photographs gives a glimpse of the life in nandi hills. Looking through the lens gave me a different experience and a zoomed in look of the nature. there is a lot to explore in nandi hills but as per my interest i chose capturing flora and fauna.. I titled my book as moving nature because noting is static in nature…it keeps on evolving…everything from a tiny creature to a giant tree or a complete landscape evolves and changes over time. This project changed my outlook towards nature and i learned that everything around us teaches us something in its own way. The complete arkavati in nandi hills might look dried and dead to many people but it has life in its each element… may be its not visible to our eyes but if we look clearly then its traces are everywhere….

Nandi Hills or Nandidurg (Anglicised forms include Nandidrug and Nandydroog) is an ancient hill fortress of southern India, in the Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka state. It is located just 10 km from Chickballapur town and ap-proximately 60 km from the city of Bangalore. The hills are nestled be-tween the neighboring towns of Nandi, Muddenahalli, and Kanive-narayanapura. The hills are tradition-ally held as the origin of the Arkavathy river

The Arkavati (also written Arkavathi, Arkavathy) is a large mountain river in Karna-taka, India, originating at Nandi Hills of Chikka-ballapura district.[1] It is a tributary of the Kaveri, which it joins at 34 KM south of Kanakapura, called Sangama in Kannada, after flowing through ramanagara and Kanakapura. The river drains into the Chik-karayappanahalli Lake near Kanivenarayan-apura. Kumudavathi and Vrishabhavathi rivers are tributaries to

FLORAL

Its always intresting to capture pictures of flowers becuse though they are so stag-nent in nature it can be interesting how the angles, light and tone make a differ-ence in the picture .

THE WILD

The fun part of capturing the wild is in their behaviour which is untamed, natural and expressive. Animals are always moving, they are fast and the difficult part is to follow them. To get the right picture you need to catch them in their best move-ment, expression or behaviour.

THE LITTLE THINGS

There are alot of things in the nature that goes unnoticed because its small, little, or just sometimes because of lack of obsevation. But these small beautiful things in nature adds to the asethetic sence of the it and makes it alive .

GREEN RUST

ROUGH SURFACES

The amount of things nature provides us with is unbeliveable and even in its rough-ness we find beautiful textures which enhances the surfaces and the more you capture the details the more variations you get.

OVERALL

What happenes when we bring together a lot of elemets of nature? It creates a landscape which adds to the atmosphere and it makes the mood of the atmos-phere more recognisable.
