SACRED HEART SCHOOL NEWS
The after-school Cross-Country Panther Running Club for Grades 2 to 7 is in full swing. We are in training for a cross-country
meet at I.C. on October 4th. The Panther Lunch running Club is also about to launch. These programs are designed to promote
healthy living for our students and staff.
Our school families are invited to the annual Meet-the-Teacher evening on Tuesday, September 26. This will begin with a pot-luck
supper followed by classroom presentations. Come and learn about all the exciting plans Sacred Heart School has for this school
year while meeting other new and returning school families. Show Choir will provide a special performance!
Ms. Ruddy and her students will host the Terry Fox Assembly this week in preparation for the annual Terry Fox Walk in October.
All the fantastic challenges will be revealed as we honour this great Canadian.
Our youngest students in Kindergarten planted spring bulbs in the school garden last week. We are looking forward to a riot of
colour in May, 2018. Sincere thanks to Mrs. Muniz and her son Chris (Grade 4) for watering the garden during the summer.
