Checking out your environmentNobody wants to be exposed to risk and as

producers we need to ensure our environment is risk free.

The last thing we want or need is an injured or hurt team member.

Equipment: CameraStandard TV model cameras to record

some decent footage.Some things to remember are:•Never to touch the lens! Never!•Not to mess with the settings which has

been adapted to suit the Macs used in the college.

•To review your footage at intervals.•Don’t forget to bring back the camera•Oh! Use an umbrella for rainy days.

Equipment: Tripod and Fig RigA tripod is used to stabilise

shots, give smooth pans and tilts but it isn’t necessarily a good tracker.

The fig rig is for tracking, an expansive piece of stabilising tracking equipment comes in handy in many different occasions, the only problem is adjusting the focus when moving is hard.

Equipment: LightsPortable lights for filming usually comes

with a voltage pack, we must make sure this doesn’t get wet otherwise consequences may lead to severe punishment.
