2 Listen. What’s Needed ?

1 Create a Common Ground

So Let’s look at the dynamics of Color

Yellows: You love to get the facts. You will spend hours

making sure everything is perfect. How are you

coordinating Color?

✓ You are great at keeping reds, purples and blues in

order. We need you.

✓ Just be careful not to spend too much time getting facts

that you don’t need.

✓ You can drive reds crazy by asking too many questions.

So Let’s look at the dynamics of Color

✓ Greens: You are great listener's and we need you but,

need you to move on when it gets too personal. How

are you able to solve problems with color?

✓ Greens are smart because they do hear everything and

don’t react until they feel comfortable with their

decisions.

✓ You need reds and blues to get you motivated and get

the job done.

So Let’s look at the dynamics of Color

✓ Blues: You will take the company to places they never

dreamed of. How are you using color?

✓ You see the future and love dreaming about things that

can be.

✓ You are very optimistic and your excitement about the

future is contagious. You need reds and yellows to get

you going in the most realistic dream.

✓ Make sure you remember to listen to others dreams,

not just yours.

So Let’s look at the dynamics of Color

✓ Purples: You love to brainstorm ideas. You do it well.

How will you use this color knowledge?

✓ Yellows, last choice reds and last choice oranges work

well with you because they need your enthusiasm and

ideas.

✓ Other first choice purples working together will drive

each other crazy and totally confuse the rest of you.

✓ You will come up with so many new ideas that nothing

gets done.

So Let’s look at the dynamics of Color

Reds: Going in 50 million directions and thinks everyone

knows what you are doing. You will be able to understand

them before they understand themselves.

✓ Sees it done and thinks it is, so they move on to the

next area of concern.

✓ You can sell candy to a diabetic! Without even trying.

✓ Your presentations are very convincing – so convincing

you look like you really know what you are doing. You

can be intimating. Work on that.

So Let’s look at the dynamics of Color

✓ Oranges: You are good at under promising and over

delivering. Very realistic. Will be able to see what is

missing.

✓ You are the cheerleader that gets the group together.

You are the one that makes sure it all gets done on time

or before expected.

✓ Pay attention to what details the yellows have, the

dreams of the blues and the presentation skills of the

reds.
