Twenty- f ive years ago onOctober 10, 1948, a couple wasmarried. They are now known asMr. and Mrs. William Webster ,who reside at 23 Hillside Avenue,Blue Point.

On October 28, there was asurprise party at 4h£ VFW inhonor of their 25th'Wedding-- an-niversary . The party lasted eigh thours with Roger Sherman , a oneman band , playing their an-niversary waltz. Each daughter ,Karin and Debbie , danced withher lather to "Daddy 's LittleGirl. " Lois ,, their daughter-in-law , danced with her husband'sfather to "Mr . Wonderful. " Afterthe girls danced with their fa ther ,their mother danced with each ofher sons , William and Robert , to"Boy oi Mine.

Everything was as traditionalat the anniversary party as it wasthe original wedding, 3 tier cake ,throwing of the garter , etc.

Each guest , approximately 30,were all Bill' s and Eleanor 's bestfriends; also , one of their ushershad attended. Every person whoattended brought a covered dishand an envelope with either silverdollars or greenbacks.

As the party concluded , Karin ,their oldest daughter , announcedthat all the money that wasbrought as a gift will be used tomake their dream come true. Allthe Webster children along withall the guests are sendingEleanor and Bill Webster toEurope as a second honeymoon.

Given in marriage by her uncleJohn Keith , the bride wore agown of white taffeta with a nylonoverskirt trimmed with seedpearls and crystal beads. A three-tier veil with one tier coming tothe floor was held in place with acrown and she carried a bouquetof white sweetheart roses withbaby 's breath , pompoms , lily ofthe valley and stephanotis.

Mrs. Elizabeth Tuttle of Ohiowas the m a i d — o f — honor.Bridesmaids were Mrs. BarbaraCardno of Selden and Miss MaryGrace Herlihy of Centereach.Miss Robin Tuttle and RickyTuttle , both of Ohio , were flowergirl and ring bearer.

Best man was Richard Tuttle.Ushers were John Cardno ofSelden and John Palermo ofSelden.

Following the ceremony areception for 120 guests featuringthe music of the Islanders washeld at The 112 of Medford afterwhich the couple left for awedding trip to Bermuda.

The groom , a graduate ofNewfie ld High School , ismanager of McDonald' s in PortJefferson. The bride , also agradua te of Newfield HighSchool , is a cashier at Mc-Donald' s.

The reserved pews hadwhite satin bridal bows with lilyof the valley. Richard Benson ,church organist , played thetraditional wedding music.

The bride is the daughter of Mr.and Mrs. William Franken of 11Carl Street , Lake Ronkonkoma ,and the bridegroom is the son ofMr. and Mrs. Leo J. Lynch of 15Carl Street , Lake Ronkonkoma.

Given in marriage by herfa ther , the bride wore a floor-length gown of silk organza witha detachable train. The empirebodice had long sleeves and amandarin collar edged wii.ii asmall ruffle. The skirt was A4ine.Flower appliques trimmed' thegown . A shoulder-length veil washeld by a Juliet cap made by thebride 's aunt , Mrs. Inga Weinholdof Greenlawn.

Miss Kathleen Franken at-tended her sister as maid-of-honor. The bridesmaids wereMrs. Sharen DiBiasi of LakeRonkonkoma and Mrs. LydiaLeslie of Patchogue.

The bride , a graduate of EarlL. Vandermulen High School inPort Jefferson , works for NewYork Telephone. The groom is aninvestigator for Korvettes and isa graduate of Sewanhaka HighSchool.

Carl C. Weaver , Jr.,betore the altar decorated withbouquets of white and redflowers. The reserved pews hadwhite satin bridal bows and lily ofthe valley. Richard Bensonplayed the traditional weddingmarches on the organ.

Escorted to the altar on thearm of her fa ther , the bride worea gown of white satin with an A-line skirt trimmed with daisyclusters at the hemline. Thebodice was Empire with longsleeves and trimmed with daisyappliques. She had a floor-lengthveil of French illusion andcarried a cascade bouquet ofcarnations with an orchid center.

Mrs. Karen Stringham ofHoward Beach was matron-of-honor. Peter Simone of Plain-view , brother of the bridegroom ,was best man.
