•Library books are checked out for 3 weeks•Textbooks due at the end of the year• Fines: 10 cents a day•No food or drinks (except water bottles with lids)•No cell phone use in the library•Bring a pass if you are coming from class (to take a test, etc.)

Computer Use

•Computers are for school assignments only

•Sign in with your school login/password. Do not share passwords.

•Save to a flash drive or your folder on the student H drive. Or use Google Docs (it saves automatically and you can access your files from anywhere!)

•Use computers appropriately or you will lose your privileges

Printing/Copies

Black & white printer – one copy only of your work or research material

Multiple copies: 5 cents eachClass sets: go to Production

Color printer – 25 cents/page

Copies: 10 cents a page

Visit the library to:

•Look up books•Use databases•Find information online•Use reference materials

Search WebCat

1. Start on the school home page2. Click “Library” to find WebCat

3. Type the title, author or subject, then click the appropriate button

OR type any keyword and hit the return key

4. Scroll down to find out whether the book is at your school

5. Find fiction by the first three letters of the author’s last name

6. Find nonfiction by the Dewey Decimal number, then in order by last name

Edited/fact checked, so often more reliable than websites

Ask library staff for passwords to use from home

Use your library card to access public library research tools
