Installation Precautions • Tominimizethepotentialforarcingonelectricalheattracingandfirecausedbyproductdamageorimproperinstallation,useground-faultprotection.TheNationalElectricalCode(NEC)andCanadianElectricalCode(CEC)requireground-faultprotectionof equipment for each branch circuit supplying electrical heat tracing.
• Installationmust complywith Thermon requirements andbe installed inaccordancewith theNEC,CEC,or anyotherapplicablenationalandlocalcodes.
• ComponentapprovalsandperformanceratingsarebasedontheuseofThermonspecifiedpartsonly.Usersuppliedpowerconnectionfittingsmustbelistedorcertifiedforintendeduse.
• De-energize all power sources before opening enclosure.• Keependsofbundles,heat tracingandkit componentsdrybeforeandduringinstallation.

1. Removeouterjacketandinsulationfromtubingbundle as included from end of the tubing bundle.Ensuresufficientheattraceisavailablefor electrical connection. See instructions includedwithheattraceSCTKkit.
2a. Stripbackbundle insulation38mm (11/2”)to 76mm(3”)beyond bus connection heat tracing. If bus connection indentation is lessthan305 mm(12”)-381mm(15”)fromendofthe heat tracing, proceed stripping the bundle insulationtothenextindentation.
3. Wraptubesandheattracingwithpassofheatreflectivetape(25%overlap).Thenwrapwith3passesofglassfibertape(50%overlap),oruntilfibertapeisequaltooriginalbundleinsulationthickness.
4. Complete with additional passes of heat reflectivetape.

11. Fielddrillrequiredentryholeinwall/plate.UsetheFAK-1flangeasatemplateandmarkanddrill holes for bolts.
14. ApplyRTVbeadaroundFAK-1flange.13. SecureFAK-1tobulkhead/wallusing(8)eightstainless steel bolts. Note: stainless steel bolts,washers,andnutsprovidedbyothers.Recommended bolt size is 8-32.

18. Connect the bus wires of the trace heater to theterminalblock.
21. To remove cap, de-energize circuit, lift latchmechanism, and unscrew cap.
17. Use the terminal blockmounting screw tomountterminalblocktotheLEDlightmodule.Bend each pigtail lead around the sides of the terminalblock.
20. Engage threads. Rotate lightmodule coverclockwiseandtightencapsecurely.Makesurelatchmechanismisinthelockedposition.
