A chakra is an alignment point of the body and it can receive and relay the life force energy. The
word Chakra comes from the Sanskrit, it describes the continual spinning of a wheel or the aural
energy sphere within the body of mankind.

Many traditional Hindu writings suggest that there are nearly 90,000 points of Chakra throughout a
person's body. Although, there are seven Chakras that are more important than all of the rest.
These Chakras exist from the bottom of the spine all the way up to the top of the head.
The seven chakras involve the root, navel, stomach, the heart, throat, and brow and the crown
chakras. These featured chakra points have the ability to transmit and receive energy from the
general surroundings as well as those individuals in it and other influential elements of the
surroundings. Chakras can influence activities of an individual that deal with emotional, spiritual,
intellectual, mystical, psychological and corporeal issues.
Whether you chose to take on a point of view that comes from the Hindus mystical perception of
the external and internal experience of an individual, the modern psychology of explanation of the
consciousness and thought patterns or Chinese medicine, you will find a common thread within
them all. This point is that the chakras are distinct when it comes to their explanations or
definitions.
Whether we realise it or not, the chakras and the energy flow through them are in constant motion.
This constant motion influences the structure, appearance, physical disorders, glandular
processes as well as our thoughts and deeds. However, in between if there occurs a malfunction
or certain disruption in this motion, then there can be several imbalances in life which will manifest
itself in other known areas of our being.
This happens because each endocrine gland in our body is linked to one of the seven major
chakras. If there is an imbalance of a chakra then it will effect a physical and emotional process
that creates a disturbance in the behavior of the endocrine gland that it is specifically linked to.
It is extremely important that you realize that is vital to attempt to maintain Chakra balance
throughout your entire life. Thus, we can also conclude that all major illnesses come from an
imbalance that is created within one of the major Chakras. Even if you are not physically ill yet,
there may be worries that you have about things that have happened in past stages of your life
that affect you emotionally.
One of the biggest causes of chakra imbalance from the regular life cycle is the emotional
baggage or yoke that we carry along with us. Many of us bury our grief inside themselves not
realising that the emotional toxins will influence the body on a cellular level.
This is something that many people do without being aware of it as these issues can be stored in
their subconscious mind. If they leave these issues alone to fester they can get a build up of
emotional toxins which can be harmful.
The human body requires chakra healing. By utilization of several techniques like therapy,
aromatherapy, Reiki healing or using crystals, gemstones or a pendulum can affect chakras
effectively.
Some people swear by doing yoga exercises to help with their physical being as well as their
breathing. You can also try to visit the exercises which can help to balance their chakra.
Some of the other ways that you can heal your chakra are through meditation. This is where you
can focus your minds on an object for a certain amount of time. It is important for good
visualization which can be done through audio tapes and even CDs which will help with natural
healing. You can try relaxation techniques which will help you to reduce stress and help you to get
a better grip on things.
Chakras work on their own to maintain the body's harmony and humans are unable to see and
feel it with their normal senses.
In order to maintain chakra balance, the body needs to be given proper nutrition and good food.
Each of the seven major chakras has specific food requirements that help in maintaining the
equilibrium.
Root-type vegetables, protein-rich foods and spices nourish our root chakra. The sexual and
creativity (sacral) chakra needs sweet fruits, nuts and cinnamon, vanilla, sesame and caraway
seeds; the stomach/solar plexus chakra which is responsible for enhancing our self-confidence
and self-love are can be nourished by eating breads, pastas, cereal, dairy products, yogurt and
minty spices.
In case of the heart chakra, green tea and green leafy vegetables are best nurturers. Taking in a
lot of water, fruit juices and tangy fruits such as peaches and apples nourish the throat chakra.
The brow or third eye chakra which enhances our strength of third eye sight and an in-depth sense
of our own psychical gifts is nourished by consuming fruits such as grapes, blueberries, or grape
juice and wine.
The crown chakra, which is our spiritual and emotional center will benefit from being detoxified.
This is achieved by fasting and the ritual inhalation of various herbs and incense.
Thus we can improve our health as we stimulate our chakras. Doing so motivates us to be more
responsive in our lives as we get tuned up to the surrounding auras of life and other elements
affecting the physical and metaphysical environments we are living in.
