and its beings essentially to execute His plan to isolate and combat evil and get rid of it eventually.

• The universe will serve as the “home” and the “setting” of living things where he executed his plan of warfare.

Purpose of the Origin of Man• Humanity is not only to serve the Creator but

also to honour the Seven Creations – through recreating the primeval unity of a perfect world. In helping to perfect the Seven Creations

Purpose of Origin of Universe• The rabbis attributed a dual nature to human

beings and placed them between earthly and heavenly creatures in the hierarchy of being.

• human beings are the only creatures whose souls are from heaven and whose bodies are from earth

Purpose of the Origin of Man• According to classical rabbinic Judaism, human

beings represent the pinnacle of creation and are indebted to their creator.

1. Become godly2. Be raised up as God’s chosen people (Am

segulah)3. Become a light to the nations (Or lagoyim)

• Since human beings were created with free will, God gives them the choice of pursuing "life and prosperity" or "death and adversity," ultimately enjoining them to choose life (Deut. 30:15, 19). • Man’s moral ambivalence derives from

the two inclinations within him: the good inclination (yezer tov) and the evil inclination (yezer ra)”

Islam

Purpose of the Origin of the Universe

• "I have created the jinn and humankind only for My worship" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 51, Verse 56• The whole universe is Muslim because it

surrenders to the divine purpose.

Purpose of Origin of Man• To love, worship and serve Allah• They will always choose the

right way• Noblest of god’s creatures– distinguish the true from the

false,– a will that can freely choose

between them,– the power of speech to worship.

2. The act be done in accordance with the prophetic way, called in Arabic the Sunnah.

Christianity

Purpose of the Origin of Universe

• Universe was created through love by an intelligent power, namely the God of the Bible.

• Provides all the physical needs, as well as companionship with each other and fellowship with God of all living things.

Purpose of the Origin of Man

• The purpose of humans is to love and serve God in order to help bring about God's glorious plan for creation.

This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. Matt 22:36-40 (Amp)
