Social media

• People listen to people rather than ads

• Word of mouth works more than Advertisement – it is organic growth!

The Changing Landscape

Advertising – Is the game over?

SOCIAL MEDIA - EXPLAINED

Network Marketing

Why it makes sense and why you should be a part of it

What is Direct Selling?

• As defined by the “Direct Selling Business School”– It is a business model that uses direct selling and

relationship referrals as a method of creating a distribution channel for a company’s products or services through an Internet Portal

• Benefits

– Low investment– Residual income– Time freedom

Allows startup companies to build a customer base through referrals without having to outspend advertising budgets

Direct Selling is Organic

• By “organic,” I mean that if you strip away all the hype and noise and just look at it conceptually, it is the purest way to move a product to a consumer and the purest way to be compensated.

Why Organic?

• In its organic state one person shares a valuable product or service with another (not because they will profit, but because the product is valuable). “I like it, maybe you will too.” That is clean and pure.

• A person shares a business idea with another - this is the foundation of all businesses throughout history. “I found a business I like and maybe you’d like to work on it with me.” That too is clean and pure.

• The person who shares the business with another ONLY profits IF the person they shared the business with succeeds - that is ultra-responsible, which is also clean and pure.

Is Direct Selling a fair deal?

• Each person who signs up with a DS company chooses what level they want to achieve, based not on a mental decision but based on results.

• There is not a more fair system than one that rewards someone based on results.

• The most unfair system would be to reward someone based on their resume, their talk, their family connections or their attractiveness.

How any organization works

• Entry level (Management trainee etc) – do the ground work. Earn salary.

• Get a promotion – move to a higher role – manage entry level people. Responsible for training. Earn higher salary.

• Become manager of managers. Identify future leaders and train them. Earn even higher salary.

Most important aspect – People skills or EQ is what matters to grow.

Why is NM any different?

• At entry level – do ground work – promote products to consumers. Earn a commission.

• Train new partners to do the same. Manage and lead them. Earn a higher commission.

• Identify leaders and train them. Earn even more commission.

You are doing the same work as in any other company.

If NM is fair – why only few reach the top?

The question should be – Why should everyone reach the top?

Why is everyone in a job sitting here not a CEO?

THE PERCEPTION

Why Direct Selling ?

• Low entry barrier. In reach of common man.

• It is organic – customers referring better than salesmen selling. Trust provided.

• Pay-for-performance. You work, you get, you no work, you no get!

• Co-operation and not competition as way to promote growth. People are interested in you and not just themselves.

• No work experience or educational qualification reqd. Level playing field. Anyone working hard can reach the top.

• Educational system promotes making mistakes and learning. • Encourages leadership skills, team building skills, managing multi-cultural

organizations.• Can work with family and friends.• It is relationship marketing – the buzz word in every company.

• Financial Freedom – Time + Money
