■ The Pallavi Foley collection ‘The-flame-of-the-forest’ presentedby BlueStone.com was a 50-piece collection which was an ode toBengaluru, where Pallavi started her career as well as, is the birthcity of BlueStone.com. The avant garde line revolving aroundnature’s elements, took centre stage. With the flower as the focalpoint for most of the pieces, the line also drew inspiration fromrain, fire and other forms of flora.

■ Day Twoopened with agrand show bysix fresh talent-ed designersfrom the IndianInstitute of Gemsand Jewellery,Mumbai in associa-tion with Izaara byWaman Hari Pethe Jewellers. ManaliBansal’s collection theme was reflect-ed by her personality. Neel Pethe gave amodern touch to jewellery andenhanced the style quotient. WhileSayali Chalke’s collection was inspiredby tribal culture, Shubham Barali’sjewellery was a tribute to flora andfauna. For Vaishnavi Mahajan andSwati Samala too, nature was theinspiration.

Jewellery Week ends on a sparkling noteThe last Day of IIJW 2017 powered by GIA saw innovative and stunning designs on the ramp

■ C Krishnaih Chetty Groupof Jewellers closed the Weekwith a grand bridal collectionaccompanied by music,dance, mime, commentary,glitz and drama. White cubeslined the ramp along withrows of flowers that streameddown from the ceiling to forma perfect backdrop for theshow. The Navrasa show —featuring the nine emotions offashion was a glorious displaythat held the audience in aweand enthralled them.

■ The Laksh Pahuja Show presented by Gemmaand HRD Antwerp was a line of extreme designs.The designer’s creativity always pushes the enve-lope to the unlimited corners. His collectiontitled ‘Patriotism, Peace and Passion’, showcasedeleven specially created pieces that were unbe-lievable visions of beauty inspired byicons in India.

■ A luxurious panorama of jewellery by Reliance Jewels usingAustralian Diamonds stunned the audiences. It was a grand treasuretrove of bridal ornaments that were breathtaking in their beauty andcraftsmanship. Opening the bridal jewellery show with a splendid diamond abstract design necklace and jhumkas, the creations that fol-lowed were fabulous to behold and cherish. Swirls of diamondsappeared for a neckpiece, lacy flat collars looked divine with chand-baalis, while the classic diamond necklace was a must-have for everywoman. The outfits for the show were designed by Shehla Khan.Showstopper Bhumi Pednekar looked gorgeous in a wide diamond col-lar, bracelet, earrings and rings.

■ The stunning collection from Mehta andSons by Narendra Mehta in associationwith IGI, was a superbly crafted jewelleryline. Narendra Mehta unveiled a line ofjewellery sets that showcased the mostsensational chokers, pendants, danglers,shoulder dusters, vertical pronged ban-gles, kadas, rings and bracelets. Especiallyeye-catching was the opening giant uncutdiamond choker with long earrings.

■ The Anmol collection usingAustralian diamonds was a dazzlingshow with glittering diamonds, rubies,emeralds and pearls coming together inperfect harmony. Chokers flowed intoshimmering bibs, tasselled earringswere in pearls and emeralds, maatha pat-tis were impressive while swinging chan-deliers, sensational chandbaalis, fan-shaped shoulder dusters and jhumkaswere stunners on the ramp. The modelswere dressed in fabulous bridalwear byMonica and Karishma of Jade.

■ Surya Gold in association with Swarovski Gemstones showcased a col-lection which was a mélange of jewellery inspired by South Indian designsand modern fashion jewellery. Nature played an important part as peacockand lotus motifs decorated the ornate pieces. Gorgeous eye-catching ear-rings, chokers, necklaces, chunky bracelets, bangles and striking cocktailrings looked amazing on the catwalk. Highlighting the glittering gold werewhite, coloured Swarovski Gemstones and pearls.
