The Pallavi Foley collection ‘The-flame-of-the-forest’ presented by BlueStone.com was a 50-piece collection which was an ode to Bengaluru, where Pallavi started her career as well as, is the birth city of BlueStone.com. The avant garde line revolving around nature’s elements, took centre stage. With the flower as the focal point for most of the pieces, the line also drew inspiration from rain, fire and other forms of flora. Day Two opened with a grand show by six fresh talent- ed designers from the Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery, Mumbai in associa- tion with Izaara by Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers. Manali Bansal’s collection theme was reflect- ed by her personality. Neel Pethe gave a modern touch to jewellery and enhanced the style quotient. While Sayali Chalke’s collection was inspired by tribal culture, Shubham Barali’s jewellery was a tribute to flora and fauna. For Vaishnavi Mahajan and Swati Samala too, nature was the inspiration. The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), apex body of the gems and jewellery sector, presented the 7th edition of the India International Jewellery Week (popularly known as IIJW) powered by GIA (Gemological Institute of America); co-partnered by Forevermark and Platinum Guild International. White cubes lined the ramp along with rows of flowers that streamed down from the ceiling to form a perfect backdrop for the show. The Navrasa show — featuring the nine emotions of fashion was a glorious display that held the audience in awe and enthralled them. The Laksh Pahuja Show presented by Gemma and HRD Antwerp was a line of extreme designs. The designer’s creativity always pushes the enve- lope to the unlimited corners. His collection titled ‘Patriotism, Peace and Passion’, showcased eleven specially created pieces that were unbe- lievable visions of beauty inspired by icons in India. A luxurious panorama of jewellery by Reliance Jewels using Australian Diamonds stunned the audiences. It was a grand treasure trove of bridal ornaments that were breathtaking in their beauty and craftsmanship. Opening the bridal jewellery show with a splendid diamond abstract design necklace and jhumkas, the creations that fol- lowed were fabulous to behold and cherish. Swirls of diamonds appeared for a neckpiece, lacy flat collars looked divine with chand- baalis, while the classic diamond necklace was a must-have for every woman. The outfits for the show were designed by Shehla Khan. Showstopper Bhumi Pednekar looked gorgeous in a wide diamond col- lar, bracelet, earrings and rings. The stunning collection from Mehta and Sons by Narendra Mehta in association with IGI, was a superbly crafted jewellery line. Narendra Mehta unveiled a line of jewellery sets that showcased the most sensational chokers, pendants, danglers, shoulder dusters, vertical pronged ban- gles, kadas, rings and bracelets. Especially eye-catching was the opening giant uncut diamond choker with long earrings. The Anmol collection using Australian diamonds was a dazzling show with glittering diamonds, rubies, emeralds and pearls coming together in perfect harmony. Chokers flowed into shimmering bibs, tasselled earrings were in pearls and emeralds, maatha pat- tis were impressive while swinging chan- deliers, sensational chandbaalis, fan- shaped shoulder dusters and jhumkas were stunners on the ramp. The models were dressed in fabulous bridalwear by Monica and Karishma of Jade. Surya Gold in association with Swarovski Gemstones showcased a col- lection which was a mélange of jewellery inspired by South Indian designs and modern fashion jewellery. Nature played an important part as peacock and lotus motifs decorated the ornate pieces. Gorgeous eye-catching ear- rings, chokers, necklaces, chunky bracelets, bangles and striking cocktail rings looked amazing on the catwalk. Highlighting the glittering gold were white, coloured Swarovski Gemstones and pearls. Highlighting the glittering gold werewhite, coloured Swarovski Gemstones and pearls.
