Enter into Statutory Scaffold Inspection Register

Inspect every 7 days or after adverse weather or

anything that would affect its stability

GOOD PRACTICETo place a visible inspection tag on every access point

What should be on a Tag ?

Scaffold Location. Scaffold Requested by.

Who built it.

The Date it was constructed.

Their signature

Load Class in Kn & KG

Initial Inspectors Name Signature Time & Date

On Reverse each Inspection after the initial One

Along with time and Date

Edge Protection

WAHR 2005Every Existing Place of work or means of access or egress at height

shall have in essence :

Schedule 1

Safe Means of access and Egress

Schedule 2

Have a collective fall prevention of persons and materials

Schedule 3

A suitable supporting structure whilst erecting being used and

dismantled

Does Edge Protection come under

TG20:13 ?

NO !!!

All Edge Protection even if it is a

tripod system upon a flat roof

requires Design

First thing to Consider :

How we get up there ?

So we Decide Access Tower with No

Ladder

We need Access to all area of roof including the

drip at the edge

The Access Tower will be TG20:13

Compliant

Edge Protection requires a design
