• For Librarians– Candidates should have a thorough understanding of the

research data lifecycle• Usually comes with completion of a research project involving

data• Rare for librarians

– Need to lobby for a Data stream in Library Schools• For Students– Provide a good source of talent– Can recruit them to continue with Librarian training
