Unique biphasic binding…… to calf-thymus DNA and to the polynucleotides poly ACHTUNGTRENNUNG(dA–dT)2, poly ACHTUNGTRENNUNG(dG–dC)2, poly(dA)–poly(dT), andpoly(dG)–poly(dC) has been observed for RuII–polypyridyl complexes with a pendant catechol functionali-ty.
