Eventhoughourprevioustrackrecordforfundingandconstructingplaygroundsystemsgivesusgreatconfidence,we’restillveryawarethatthisprojectisthesinglelargestandmostaggressiveeverforourClub.Itwillnodoubtrequirethecollectivecommitmentandfinancialsupportofeverysegmentofourcommunity.

DONATIONINFORMATIONOver the course of the past three years our Club hascarefully researched and evaluated a number of aquaticplay areas and waterpark systems that were eitherstandalone systems or incorporated as part of anexisting municipal swimming pool. Part of that duediligence process we noted that in nearly every casewhere they were part of an existing pool system theadding of an aquatic play area has significantlyincreased membership and has revitalized the use ofthe community pools.

GENERALINFORMATIONTheDelphosKiwanisClubrecentlyannouncedtheconstructionofanew4,000squarefoot“SplashPad”systemtobeaddedonthewestsideoftheexistingCommunitySwimmingPoolatStadiumPark.Thedesign,fundingandinstallationofthisaquaticplayareawillagainbespearheadedbytheDelphosKiwanisandwillinvolvethecollaborationbetweenourClub,VORTEXAquaticStructuresInternational,theDelphosStadiumClub,theCityofDelphosandtheParksandRecreationDepartment.

Thedesignofthisinnovativestructureallowsittofunctionasaself‐contained,standalonesystemincorporatedwithintheexistingfootprintoftheCitySwimmingPool,butwillnotplaceanyadditionalpressureontheexistingpooloperations.

Oncecompletedthe“SplashPad”willbeturnedovertoCityofDelphosasacommunityasset,operatedandmaintainedbytheParksandRecreationDepartment,andincorporatedasapartoftheirannualmembershipprogram.
