Ghoroob Masterplan Development The challenge lays in the size and shape of the plot that was intended to host 29 residential units , a retail strip, and a community nursery. Efforts were focused on creating a space-efficient space plan that would result in a feasible design.

The main challenge was in designing residential units that were cost-effective for the developer. The size played a big role in leasing them out. Semi-detached townhouses were proposed in order to make use of the lack of setbacks. Highly-efficient spacious townhouses were designed along with central community center and a Nursery.

RESIDENTIAL BUILDING

Design Breif:- B+G+6 Residential building in International City. -Uplift the face of the area.-Cost efficient.-Maximize balconies to increase sellable area. -Include retail on ground floor. Design Solution:- The design utilizes a combination of connected horizontal and vertical elements (Walls & Slabs) to emphasize the bal-conies and create a maze structure.During the design process changes were made by the cli-ent to remove the basement and add a podium, this in turn created another challenge to maintain the language on the new massing.

MADAIN EL EMARAT - RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS

Madain El Emarat This project is a proposed residential and commercial Masterplan in Muhaisnah- Dubai, U.A.E. The Development will include a population of 20,000 Residents living in various residential blocks and town houses. The development also houses a variety of service buildings like retail centers, nurseries, mosques, clinics and open parks. The masterplan was divided on many consultants developing different zones. The developement had different architectural styles , Andalusian, Italian, & Spanish and they were divided as per the specific zone. During this project I developed many aspects in the design of Zone 4 including :- - Residential Blocks & Townhouses. (Italian, Andalusian). 13C/12B - Sales Center / Nursery Landscape Design. The Sales center is located in Zone 1 of the masterplan and it will be converted to a nursery after construction of the project is finished using the same sturcture. The task was to design 2 different landscapes for the two phases.

Nursery Design Breif:- -More than one option Nursery Design. -42 Children , 10 Toddlers. -Offices for staff. -Outdoor and indoor play areas. -Nursery is surrounded by Spanish Architectural themed buildings. -Drop-off area & Staff parking.

PALESTINE SCHOOL OF ART

The most challenging aspect in the design of this project was the plot location and propotion. The project is placed on a mountain in the suburbs of Ramallah, Palestine. The plot is very narrow and the topography was very steep. The Art school was designed to work with changing heights in the topography and minimizing the exclavations required.

PALESTINE SCHOOL OF ART

The school is divided into 3 different masses including three different types of Arts. 1- Music & Drama 2- Fashion 3- Design

All 3 Arts are interconnected with a series of open spaces and verical circulation. In turn these spaces become the spaces that students gather up and interact.

The school also includes a plaza and an open-air theatre. The Proposed facade treatment uses native stone material in an artistic manner to signify the the importance of enhancing of Arts in the region.

DUBAI WHARF (LANDSCAPE)

Dubai Wharf is a large scale Mixed-use Developmentin the center of Dubai creek, The project Consists of 4 Residential towers connected with a Podium overlooking the Creek. Imad was involved in various stages of the Concept Design phase. Imad was also in charge of designing t the Landscape of the podium and the ground floor surrounding the marina.

PLAYGROUND DESIGN

The design input in this project was to design landscape suitable for children between grades 1 to 5. Many ideas were consiered in this design:--Elevated tunnel greenery-Multi-use football feild surrounded by steps to be used as seating.

MUSSALLAH EL EID (OPEN AIR PARYER ZONE)

As a part of the previous project the client requested to design a prayer area for the yearly Eid al Adha and Eid al-Fitr.

Project information:-

A masterplan that includes the following -A Boundry area for 10,000 prayers -85% Men & 15% Women -Parking for the musallah with multiple entry and exit-Outdoor plaza connecting with the existing school. -Multiple entry and exit to the praying area-Seprate entry for men and women and the Imam & Vip.
