Inserting a Chart in Microsoft PowerPoint2013

0. Start up and log in to your computer.1. Start Microsoft PowerPoint 2013

A. Windows 7 Users: start button > all programs > Microsoft Office > PowerPoint 2013

B. Windows 8/8.1 Users: start button (use keyboard for windows 8) > all programs > Microsoft Office 2013 Category > PowerPoint 2013

C. Windows 10 Users: start button > all apps > Microsoft Office > PowerPoint 20132. When you get to the PowerPoint start page, click Blank presentation.3. Click the Insert tab on the ribbon. 4. In the Illustrations category, click the Chart button.5. Next, click which type of chart you want to create.6. First, click the Start Button on the lower left of your screen.

Then, click All Programs on the bottom.

Next, click the Microsoft Office Folder.

Then, click the PowerPoint 2013 icon.

B. Windows 8/8.1 Users:Click/Press the start button on the lower left of your screen or on your keyboard.

Next, click on the down Arrow on the lower left of the startscreen, which will take you to the Apps screen.

Once on the Apps screen, scroll over to the Microsoft Office 2013 category and click on PowerPoint 2013.

C. Windows 10 Users:Click on the start button on the lower left of your screen.

Then, click on All apps (at the bottom of the start menu).

Next, click on the Microsoft Office 2013 Folder.

Now, scroll down and click on the PowerPoint 2013 icon.

2. When you get to the PowerPoint start page, click Blank presentation.

3. Click the Insert tab on the ribbon.

4. In the Illustrations category, click the Chart button.

5. Next, click which type of chart you want to create. For this guide, we will be making a Column chart. Then click OK.

Once you click OK, this is what your powerpoint window will look like. You have an Excel look-a-like window and your chart in the middle of your slide.

6. After you insert your chart, then use the Excel look-a-like window to insert and edit your data.This is a chart of user ratings of popular video games found on May 9th, 2016.

7. Customize your chart. Use the Design and Format ribbon tabs to make your new changes.For this example, we used style 8 to make our chart look fancy.
