Erase initial pencil lines!

Trace around pencil lines to form a shape, but don’t touch the initial line.

In pencil, write a word large with letters spread out. Capital letters are easiest when learning.

It’s okay if letters overlap! It makes them look more 3d!

for letters with a “hole” in them, don’t forget to draw the negative space (For letters like A, B, D, etc...)

To make your letters look 3-D, add a shadow tothe sides directly opposite of the light source

if the light is coming from the top right, then the shadow would be in the bottom left

a chistle chip marker worksgreat for a drop shadow!

Creates a thick line.TIP

Pick a corner for a pretend light source4.
